Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is seen that despite of having advances made in agriculture, a huge number of individuals around the world still stay starving. One predominant reason behind this issue is that increasing the price of food day by day and to ressolve this probelm government should provide work opportunity to individuals with suffient amount of money.

To begin with, in spite having advancement in agriculture factors, people still starving due to the fact of price of foods are growing significantly day by day. For example, financial condition of many people in the world is detrimental and they get bare amount of money from their work through which they can rarely spend on beneficial things such as foods, dresses, etc. Through developing the agriculture sectors by techonology, the price of foods increased which becomes difficult for the individuals to consume expensive food. Therefore, they end up being starving all day due to not being able to obtain food with huge price.

However, this problem can be solved, if authority make employment opportunities for the people who are unstable with a smart earnings. To illustrate, if individuals who are financially weak get a work with handsome earnings, can be able to organise their lifestyle perfectly and they would not have to be hungry as they will be able to purchase their essential foods when needed without being tensed. As a result, no one will be stay hungry.

In conclusion, the problem of staying hungry is for increasing the price of foods and the condition of many people is detrimental. The government can solve this probelm effortlessly through giving work to enough people who are suffering financially.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both questions: you identify rising food prices as a cause and propose employment with adequate earnings as a response. The examples about people receiving little income and being unable to afford food are relevant. However, the explanation is limited and sometimes unclear. In particular, the claim that agricultural technology has increased food prices is asserted rather than explained, and the response does not consider other possible causes, such as unequal food distribution, conflict, or food waste. The proposed solution also focuses almost entirely on employment, without explaining how governments could create jobs or address food affordability directly. Develop the cause-and-solution ideas with clearer reasoning and specific supporting examples, and make your position more precise throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph explaining a cause, a paragraph proposing a solution, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “To begin with,” “However,” and “In conclusion” help signal these stages, so the reader can follow the main line of argument. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and links between ideas are not always clear. For example, the connection between agricultural technology and higher food prices needs to be explained, while “Therefore” introduces a conclusion that largely repeats the preceding point. The conclusion also restates the same cause and solution without adding a clear synthesis. Use linking expressions more selectively and make each sentence build logically on the one before it.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “agriculture,” “financially weak,” “employment opportunities,” and “essential foods,” which makes the subject clear. There are also attempts at more formal wording, such as “predominant reason” and “detrimental.” However, the range is limited and several choices or collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, sometimes making the meaning harder to follow: “stay starving,” “bare amount of money,” and “smart earnings” are examples. Spelling errors such as “ressolve,” “probelm,” “suffient,” and “techonology” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise range of common topic vocabulary and check spelling, word forms, and natural word partnerships before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, using structures such as “despite of having advances made in agriculture” and “if individuals who are financially weak get a work…”. This shows an effort to express causes and conditions, but complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “one predominant reason… is that increasing the price” lacks a correctly formed clause, while “if authority make employment opportunities” has problems with article use and subject–verb agreement. In “if individuals… get a work…, can be able,” the main clause is missing its subject. Practise building accurate cause-and-effect and conditional sentences, checking agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence completeness. Simpler, controlled sentences would make your ideas easier to understand.
