Student answer (Band 5.5)
A highly controversial issue today relates to whether to have significant advance in agriculture, but many people around the world still suffer from hunger. This easy will be discuss the main reasons for this problem and suggest some possible solution.
On the one hand, There are several reason why hunger remains a serious issues. firstly, poverty is the one main cause that people remain hungry because some people still cannot buy a food that are available in a market. secondly, in some countries food are not manufactured and some countries are not able to get food due to war, land floods and natural disaster and other reason is not all food are equally distributes in all countries where people face difficulties to get food. Furthermore, food waste is another major problem food thrown away by households, hotels and supermarkets.
However, several things that we can measure to measure this problems. Initially, Government should really focus in these topic. if government provide job opportunities to people than it would be easy to people for living and they could afford the regular food. and equally distribution of food in all countries and manage emergency food supplies. Developed and international countries should support the poor nation financially and supplying food will play a crucial role in this problem.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that the main reason of these problem is poverty. it will be settled if food will equally transport in all countries and government fully support the people and create financially support.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions by identifying causes such as poverty, conflict, natural disasters, unequal distribution and food waste, then proposing jobs, food redistribution and international support. This gives the response relevant coverage of the task. However, the ideas remain general and are not sufficiently explained or supported: for example, you mention war and floods but do not show how they interrupt food production or delivery, and the proposed emergency supplies are not developed. The conclusion repeats poverty and distribution without adding a clear, fully supported position. To strengthen the response, explain the links between each cause and hunger, and illustrate at least one solution with a specific example or practical detail. The task is addressed, but only partially developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, one on solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing the causes with “firstly” and “secondly” helps readers follow the list, and “However” signals a move to solutions. Nevertheless, progression within paragraphs is limited because several points are joined into long, loosely connected sentences. The phrase “several things that we can measure to measure” is repetitive, and the final paragraph largely repeats earlier points rather than drawing them together. Some links between ideas are also unclear, particularly in the sentence about countries being unable to get food because of war, floods and other reasons. Use clearer topic sentences, separate distinct ideas, and make references and transitions more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “poverty,” “food waste,” “emergency food supplies” and “job opportunities,” so the reader can understand the main subject and proposed responses. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes meaning less clear. Examples include “significant advance in agriculture,” “food are not manufactured,” “equally distributes,” and “financially support.” Repeated use of “food” and “problem” also limits precision. Aim to learn common combinations such as “agricultural advances,” “food production,” “distribute food fairly” and “provide financial assistance.” More accurate topic-specific phrasing would make your explanations clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a reason clause in “because some people still cannot buy…” and a conditional structure beginning “if government provide…”. However, control is inconsistent, and frequent errors in agreement, articles, plurals, verb forms and punctuation can make sentences difficult to follow. For instance, “some countries food are not manufactured” has agreement and sentence-structure problems, while “if government provide job opportunities” needs a correctly formed subject and verb. Capitalisation after full stops is also inconsistent, as in “firstly” and “it will be settled.” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with clauses using “because,” “although” and “if.” Check each sentence for a clear subject, a matching verb and appropriate articles.
