Student answer (Band 4.5)
In this statement talks about a spite of the advances made in agriculture, many people around the world still go hungry. This is a big probleem in the world. I will explain this statement in the following.
Nowadays, many people around the world still go hungry while in spite of the advances made in agriculture. This is a big case of the world. Because some people are more saved things but some people cannot save things it is a big reason. If all people save eating things so they cannot still hungry. However, poor people cannot save more food becuase they cannot afforde and when poor people necessary food then in market finish the food. Therefore, many people still go hungry.
Furthermore, we can solve this problem but this problem is very big problem so cannot solve just one person all people can solve this problem. For instance, if one person work in different projects it is more difficult and work cannot complete fastly. If different people work on different projects so work completely more fastly.
In conclusion, this is a very big problem we can solve this problem because this is more dangerous for future. If we cannot solve this problem in future so new generation face more problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You identify the issue of hunger and attempt to address both questions: you suggest that poverty limits people’s ability to obtain food and that people should work together on solutions. However, the explanation of why hunger persists is unclear and partly contradictory: “some people are more saved things” and “if all people save eating things” do not explain the causes precisely. The proposed solution is also very general; the example about people working on different projects does not show how this would improve food access. The conclusion repeats that the problem is serious without adding support. The response contains 179 words, so it is 71 words below the 250-word minimum; 31 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop each answer with clear, relevant reasons and specific examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “For instance,” “Therefore” and “In conclusion” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because ideas are repeated or connected unclearly. For example, the sequence about people saving food, poor people being unable to save it, and food finishing in the market does not establish a clear cause-and-effect relationship. The example about working on projects also does not connect clearly to hunger. Use each paragraph to develop one main point, and make the links between cause, consequence and solution explicit rather than relying mainly on transition words.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “agriculture,” “poor people,” “food” and “future,” and the reader can generally recognise that the essay concerns hunger. However, the range is basic and repetitive, with “big problem” and “problem” appearing several times. Some word choices make key ideas difficult to understand, such as “more saved things,” “save eating things” and “when poor people necessary food.” Spelling errors such as “probleem,” “becuase” and “afforde” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural phrases for the topic—for example, describing people as unable to afford food or explaining how food is distributed—rather than repeating general words. The vocabulary needs to communicate your causes and solutions more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a conditional sentence beginning “If all people…” and a contrast introduced by “However.” This shows some effort to connect clauses, but control is inconsistent and several sentence patterns are incomplete or unclear. For example, “In this statement talks about…” lacks a clear grammatical subject, while “This is a big case of the world” does not form a clear sentence in context. The conditional “If we cannot solve this problem in future so new generation face more problems” also has problems with clause structure and verb agreement. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and punctuation when joining clauses. More accurate control of these patterns would make your meaning easier to follow.
