Student answer (Band 4.5)

Nowadys, many people around the world still so hungary due to some reason. The reason is that farmers has their own farms and some sales or some not.

The first main reason is that farmer working hard and gorw the food but in this time period of growing food many thing reminding because if some thing rong then everything end. The farmers face many challenging to give everthing in exact time like water give the seed in main time not before and after. For example, Some time farmers rest in hom behind the farmer it's farm on attacking animals and eate theri food in just a second so this problem face the farmers.

The second reason is that farmer grow the food in long time. When the food is ready the farmers cut their fram and send into the market there food sell in small price but farmers sells in own price but not sells it yet. For example, the farmer grow the food in very hard working and we not give him best price then it's bad impact on him for this reason farmer still and not grow food in inext time.

In conclusion, i believe that if some one work hard to grow the food best then we give them best price. If we not give them best price they not sell theri food and it's not good for us. Because we need it and also we need the farmers.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You identify two possible causes: difficulties farmers face while growing crops and the low prices they receive after harvesting. You also suggest that farmers should be paid fairly, so the response is connected to the topic. However, the task asks why people still go hungry and what can be done; the causes are not clearly linked to hunger or food access, and the proposed solution is limited to better prices. The example about animals damaging crops is relevant but needs clearer explanation, while the second reason is difficult to follow. The response is also 10 words below the required minimum. Develop the causes and solutions more fully, for example by discussing poverty, food distribution, storage, or support for small farmers.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs beginning with “The first main reason” and “The second reason,” and a conclusion. This helps the reader recognise the intended organisation. However, ideas do not progress clearly within the paragraphs, and several links between points are hard to follow. For instance, the shift from farmers selling food at a low price to not growing food “in inext time” needs a clearer explanation. Connectors such as “For example” and “In conclusion” are used, but they cannot compensate for unclear relationships between sentences. Use a simple plan in which each paragraph presents one cause or solution, explains it, and gives a directly relevant example; use pronouns and linking phrases with clear references.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use a small set of topic-related words, including “farmers,” “food,” “market,” and “price,” and attempt to express ideas such as crop damage and selling produce. However, vocabulary is basic and repetitive, and frequent spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand: “hungary,” “gorw,” “rong,” and “theri” are examples. Some phrases are also unclear or unnatural, such as “farmers cut their fram” and “some sales or some not.” Build a more accurate range for this topic, including terms such as “harvest,” “crop loss,” “food distribution,” and “fair price.” Check spelling carefully and choose precise phrases so the reader can understand the intended meaning without having to infer it.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple sentences and longer explanations, including a conditional structure in “if some thing rong then everything end.” However, sentence patterns are very limited, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur frequently. For example, “farmers has” should use a plural verb, while “farmer working hard” needs a finite verb; “we not give him best price” also lacks the correct auxiliary and article. Several sentences run together, making the relationships between clauses unclear. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using “because,” “when,” and “if.” Pay particular attention to subject–verb agreement and complete verb phrases.
