Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is believed by many individuals that there are many advances made in agriculture, many people aroung the world are still hungry. I believe that there may be finantial problems and climate factor, while this problem can be solved by the government through making food cheaper and guiding farmers.
In this digital world, there are many advances made in agriculture, while many people are still hungry. There are many reasons in this case. Firstly, some people do not have enough money to buy this expensive advances so they cannot make use of this advances. There are also climate factors which can lead to this problem.
What is more, there are also many solutions for this problem. Prices of all items are rising to the sky. Government should reduce the prices of essential things. It should be strictly ordered that prices of all items are displayed on the gates of shops. Government should provide jobs to people
In conclusion, although many people are still hungry despite the advances made in agriculture, government should take essicient steps againt high rises of this advances and government should provide food to poor people who are handicapped and provide jobs who are in the search of employment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address both questions: you identify financial hardship and climate as possible causes, and suggest lower prices, employment, and support for poor people. However, these ideas are only briefly stated. For example, “climate factors” is not explained, and the link between farmers’ access to agricultural advances and hunger is unclear. The proposed measure of displaying prices at shop gates also does not explain how this would make food affordable. Your position is present, but the response only partially develops the task. It also falls 48 words short of the required minimum, limiting the space available to explain causes, justify solutions, and give a relevant example. Develop each main point with a clear explanation or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, one on solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “What is more,” and “In conclusion” help signal these stages. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and some links are mechanical or unclear. The opening repeats the task’s contrast about agricultural advances and hunger, while the second paragraph repeats it again without adding much development. The relationship between the causes and the proposed solutions is not consistently made explicit. Improve cohesion by grouping related points, explaining how one idea leads to another, and using references such as “this lack of access” only when their meaning is clear.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “agriculture,” “climate factors,” “essential things,” and “employment,” so the reader can generally identify your subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. For instance, “expensive advances” does not clearly express whether you mean machinery, technology, or farming inputs, and “high rises of this advances” is unclear. There are also spelling errors such as “aroung,” “finantial,” and “essicient.” Aim for more precise topic vocabulary and check spelling; naming specific items such as seeds, irrigation systems, or fertiliser would make your points clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including the contrast in “although many people are still hungry despite the advances made in agriculture.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward or unclear. In “there are many advances made in agriculture,” the construction is not well formed; “many advances have been made” would be more accurate. In “Government should provide jobs to people,” the article or plural form is missing, and “provide jobs who are in the search of employment” has an unclear clause structure. There are also problems with agreement and number in “this advances.” Practise accurate sentence patterns before adding more complex clauses.
