Student answer (Band 5.0)

in recent years agriculture has significant develope due to advance technology and improve farming method. people still have hungry. there are several many reasons are poverty, unequal distribution , climate change and low salaries employment.

One of the main reason is poverty. many people have not money to buy enough healthy and nutritional food. although farmer produce large qualtities of crop poor families cannot effort enough food for their daily need. futhermore umemployment and llow salary jobs are worst. although many people struggle to meet their basic requirnments.

unequal distribution is measured in high scale of our country. large amount of food is waste in our country due to resturants, cafes and rich people. rich families are stock food for whole year but poor families can not but food for their daily need. government should stickly banned for large quanitiy of food storage. low salaries and unemployemt is also the main reason becasue they cannot manage their expence for living and food. cost of crop is higher day by day and poor families cannot effort food for their basic need.

weather change is also the main reason for hunger because lower amount of crop is available in market. higher the crop rate and poor families cannot effort.

To put in the nutshell, government should avoid storage of food . avoid unequal distribution and government should have lower crop rate because poor famailies are easily buy healthy and nutritional food for their basic need.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both questions by identifying possible causes—poverty, unequal food distribution, unemployment, low wages and changing weather—and proposing government action. These points are relevant, but the response only partially develops them. For example, you say that food is wasted by restaurants and stored by wealthy families, yet do not explain how this leads to hunger on a wider scale or support the claim with a specific example. The proposed measures, such as banning food storage and lowering crop prices, are also brief and not fully explained. The conclusion repeats these suggestions rather than clarifying a developed overall response. The response is 243 words, so it does not meet the 250-word minimum; this also limits the space available to explain and support your ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some organisation: the response has an introduction, separate paragraphs for causes, and a concluding paragraph. The reader can generally identify the main topics, and linking expressions such as “One of the main reason,” “furthermore” and “To put in the nutshell” signal relationships. However, progression is not consistently clear. Poverty, unemployment and low salaries are repeated across paragraphs, while the paragraph on unequal distribution shifts back to employment and crop prices. Some links are inaccurate or mechanical, and the conclusion does not clearly distinguish the causes from the solutions. Group related causes together, give each paragraph one clear purpose, and use pronouns or transitions that make the relationship between each claim and its explanation explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a relevant set of topic words, including “agriculture,” “unequal distribution,” “climate change,” “nutritional food” and “crop.” This gives the response enough vocabulary to communicate its main subject. However, the range is limited and several word-choice or spelling errors make some phrases difficult to understand, such as “large amount of food is waste,” “government should stickly banned” and “higher the crop rate.” Repetition of “poor families,” “basic need” and “cannot effort” also reduces precision. Build accuracy with common collocations and check spelling and word forms. For instance, use “afford food,” “food is wasted,” and “strictly ban” rather than the forms in the essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts some longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “although” and “because,” but control is inconsistent and the range remains limited. Frequent errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles and punctuation sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “many people have not money to buy” lacks a correct verb pattern, while “although farmer produce large qualtities of crop poor families cannot effort” has problems with the subject, verb and clause punctuation. Several sentences are fragments, including “although many people struggle to meet their basic requirnments.” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with subordinate clauses. Check that each sentence has a complete main clause and that subjects and verbs agree.
