Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the three nutrients and report several important figures accurately, including dinner’s high sodium and saturated-fat shares (43% and 37%) and the large added-sugar share in snacks (42%). However, the overview is unclear: “consumption of these nutrients highly consumed in dinner” does not clearly summarise the main pattern, and the exception for added sugar is difficult to interpret. Some comparisons are also imprecise, such as saying lunch values are comparable with a difference of 3% without specifying which nutrients. The response is below the required 150 words, so the report is underdeveloped and does not fully address the task. Add a clear overview and explain the key contrasts across all four meals.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the report: an opening identifies the charts, followed by an overview and paragraphs beginning “firstly” and “secondley.” This gives the reader some sense of sequence. However, progression is weakened by unclear links between ideas and by the unfinished phrase “or” at the end of the overview. The long opening comparison paragraph combines several figures without clearly separating the sodium and saturated-fat patterns, while “other portions almost respectively same” does not make the reference clear. Use distinct paragraphs for the overview and detailed comparisons, and connect each comparison explicitly—for example, contrast dinner’s high sodium with snacks’ high added sugar.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The response uses relevant chart vocabulary, including “average percentage,” “major portion,” “consumption,” and “concentration,” and attempts to compare values. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “covers the major portion” is not a natural way to describe a percentage, and “the concentration of these in nutrients” is unclear. Spelling errors such as “suger,” “diffrence,” and “respectibvely” are noticeable and reduce precision. Choose straightforward, accurate terms consistently: describe figures as “accounting for” a share, and use “proportion” or “percentage” rather than “concentration” for these chart values.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to form longer comparisons, but sentence structures are often faulty, and the reader must sometimes infer the intended meaning. For instance, “consumption of these nutrients highly consumed in dinner” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “sodium and saturated fats which covers” has an agreement problem and an incomplete clause. The sentence beginning “secondley added suger” also lacks a clear subject and verb, and punctuation is inconsistent, particularly where sentences run together after percentages. Most sentences rely on simple patterns, with limited accurate control of more complex forms. Build complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
