Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response covers the main features of the charts, identifying the highest and lowest consumption periods. However, the analysis is somewhat superficial. While you mention the percentages for dinner, snacks, lunch, and breakfast, the comparison between the three nutrients (sodium, saturated fats, and added sugar) is missing; you treat them as a single group rather than noting if their proportions differ. To reach a higher band, you should explicitly compare the data points for each nutrient across the four meal types. The overview is present but could be more precise regarding the trends observed across the categories.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'Overall'. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. For example, the sentence 'the ordinary ratio for all the mention nutritients in the lunch is more than 25% and it score second in the list' is slightly disjointed. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, overview, and body details, which helps the reader follow the progression of information.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'illustrates', 'proportion', and 'consumption'. However, there are several instances of inaccurate word choice and collocation, such as 'injurious for human beings', 'if it took major in quantity', and 'the ordinary ratio'. These errors occasionally make the meaning slightly unclear. To improve, focus on using more precise academic collocations and ensure that word forms (e.g., 'nutrients' instead of 'nutritients') are spelled correctly. The vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main points but lacks the precision required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('it score second') and article usage ('the average amount of intake sodium'). Additionally, some sentences are structurally awkward, such as 'the dinner is higher in contrast with the breakfast that is lower'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. Increasing the number of error-free sentences and refining the use of complex structures would significantly improve your score in this criterion.
