Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The response covers all key features of the charts, including the main trends and specific data points for sodium, saturated fat, and added sugar. You successfully identified the highest values, such as snacks having the most added sugar and dinner having the highest sodium and saturated fat. However, the overview is slightly inaccurate; you mention that 'there is a balance in all the essential in the nutrients,' which is not supported by the data, as the percentages vary significantly. To improve, ensure your overview focuses strictly on the most prominent trends shown in the charts rather than making subjective claims about health or balance.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The essay is logically organized into an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs. You use some cohesive devices such as 'First of all,' 'Similarly,' and 'Lastly' to guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly awkward, such as 'Moving to, snacks it should be restricted to.' Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the final sentence where the comparison between the three meals is a bit repetitive and confusing. Improving the flow between sentences and ensuring that cohesive devices are used more naturally would help elevate this score.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'illustrates,' 'signify,' 'restricted,' and 'substantial.' However, there are some word choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'the data of the average percentages' (should be 'data on') and 'a person's meal should be at limit of' (should be 'should be limited to'). There is also some repetition of phrases like 'on comparison.' To reach a higher band, try to use more precise academic vocabulary and ensure that your collocations are natural and accurate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text. Examples include 'in breakfast comprises of' (should be 'breakfast comprises'), 'snacks has' (should be 'snacks have'), and 'the dinner it substantial amount' (missing a verb). These errors are frequent but do not impede communication. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and ensure that every sentence has a clear, correctly conjugated main verb. Proofreading for small articles and prepositions will also help reduce these errors.
