Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers all parts of the task by identifying the main features and making relevant comparisons. You successfully highlighted the key trends, such as dinner being the highest for sodium and saturated fat, and snacks being the highest for added sugar. The overview is clear and provides a good summary of the data. However, the report could be improved by ensuring data accuracy; for example, you mentioned '14% in both lunch and breakfast' for sodium, but the chart shows 29% for lunch and 14% for breakfast. Careful proofreading of the data points against the charts is essential to ensure full accuracy in reporting.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is logically organized with a clear introduction, an overview, and body paragraphs that group the nutrients effectively. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Overall', 'First of all', and 'Lastly' to guide the reader. However, the transition between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing could be more sophisticated. For instance, the phrase 'While the similar pattern is observed' is slightly awkward. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear thematic focus would help elevate the flow of the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'proportions', 'nutrients', and 'consumption' correctly. There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'largest account of' instead of 'highest proportion of' or 'largest share'. Additionally, the repetition of 'percentage' throughout the text limits the lexical variety. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more varied synonyms for 'increase', 'decrease', and 'proportion' to show a more flexible command of language.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'Breakfast generally contain' (subject-verb agreement) and 'the sodium has the highest percentage' (unnecessary article). You also have issues with preposition usage, such as 'reaches to 16%'. While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles will significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
