The charts below show the average percentages in typical meals of three types of nutrients, all of which may be unhealthy if eaten too much.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The three pie charts compare the average proportions of sodium, saturated fat, and added sugar in typical meals consumed in USA. Which might be unhealthy when consumed excessively.

Overall, it is clear that sodium and saturated fat are consumed mostly during dinner, while added sugar are eaten primarily at snacks. Additionally, saturated fat and added sugar accounted for the same percentage during breakfast. Units measured in percentage

Focusing on sodium and saturated fat, During dinner, sodium accounted for 43%, while saturated fat was 37%. When having breakfast and snacks sodium was consumed at 14% for each case, when compared to saturated fat with 16% and 21%, while during lunch the figure for sodium was 29% and saturated fat 26%.

Added sugar was consumed mostly at snacks, while breakfast had the lowest proportion of the nutrient at 16 percent, and increased to 23% during breakfast. It worth noting that it accounted for 19% when having lunch.
