The charts below show the average percentages in typical meals of three types of nutrients, all of which may be unhealthy if eaten too much.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The pie charts show the percentages of the sodium, saturated fats and sugar in different meals consumed in America.
According to the charts, highest proportion of the sodium and fats are consumed in the dinner, whereas sugar is taken in the snacks. Minimum ratio of the sugar and fats are consumed in the breakfast. And in case of sodium minimum quantity is equally shared by the breakfast and snacks.
Mainly 43% of the sodium is taken by the Americans through the dinner. Secondly, 29% through the lunch and than 14% each by the breakfast and snacks. Out of 100, 37% of the saturated fat in-take is by the dinner, followed by the 26% by lunch, 21% by snacks and lastly 16% through breakfast.
At last, Only the sugar is mainly consumed by snacks which is 42%. Dinner compromises of the 23% of the sugar, American's consumed. 19% is used through lunch and 16% by breakfast.
