Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response provides an overview and selects key features, such as the high consumption at dinner and the low levels at breakfast. However, the analysis is hampered by inaccuracies in reporting the data. For instance, you state that sodium consumption at breakfast and snacks is 'frequently same as 14%', whereas the chart shows 14% for breakfast and 14% for snacks, but the phrasing is awkward. Additionally, the description of the data is sometimes confusing, such as the claim that added sugar at snacks is 'double than saturated fat', which is not supported by the provided figures. To improve, ensure that data points are cited accurately and that comparisons are clearly linked to the specific nutrients mentioned.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use transition signals like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Moreover' to connect ideas. However, the logical flow is occasionally disrupted by grammatical errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'all these nutrients are consumed in different proportion including four types of meals'. The use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate, which affects the overall flow. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one without ambiguity.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are several instances of incorrect word choice and spelling errors. For example, you use 'minarels' instead of 'nutrients' and 'scancks' instead of 'snacks'. Phrases like 'highest changes' and 'equally same' are non-standard and imprecise. While you attempt to use terms like 'proportion' and 'respectively', the overall range is limited. To improve, focus on using more precise terminology for describing trends and data, and ensure that you proofread your work to eliminate basic spelling and collocation errors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'The bar charts illustrates' (subject-verb agreement), 'has consumed highest proportion' (incorrect passive/active voice), and 'regarding for surated fat' (incorrect preposition). Punctuation is also inconsistent. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the response from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering subject-verb agreement, correct verb tenses, and the appropriate use of prepositions to improve your accuracy.
