The charts below show the average percentages in typical meals of three types of nutrients, all of which may be unhealthy if eaten too much.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.5)
The provided pie charts illustrate the average ratio in particular meals with different kinds of nutrients such as Sodium, Saturated fat and Added sugar.
Overall, it can be seen that dinner contributes the highest proportion of sodium and saturated fat, while snacks account for the largest percentage of added sugar. In contrast, breakfast has relatively small proportions in all three categories.
Looking at the details, dinner makes up 43% of sodium, which is considerably higher than lunch at 29%, while breakfast and snacks each account for 14%. A similar pattern can be seen for saturated fat. Dinner represents 37%, followed by lunch at 26%, snacks at 21%, and breakfast at 16%.
