Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is true that some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation for example, the shortage of money and unsatisfactory job. While, some people tend towards the view point that it is better to try and improve such situations.
On the one hand there are clear arguments that bad situation must be believed and confessd by the people. One of the main reasons can be that people face a lot of challenges in their life. As, the life is the name of ups and downs so people must develop themselves according to the hurdles and hardships of the life. Another reason can be that people should accept the bad situations and fight against them. If they are not capable of accepting the bad situation they will becomes depressed. The stress level and the anxiety increases which results in various diseases and effects the poeple health. For example, if some people did not get good job according to them they should not bother but face this problem with the help of their hard work.
On the other hand, I agree with the view point that we should do hard work to overcome the challenges faced in life because hard work and trying again and again is the key element to make a successful life. Firstly, it makes you feel relaxed that you are trying for the improvement and secondly, it encourages you to gain your goals if your plans are changed or you can not get anything according to you. For example, if a man is wishing to get rich in life but, he did not get that he should work hard and try again and again for the goal he is wishing. But, if he left of his dream he will not be able to survive in the life.
In conclusion, it seems to me that people should better try and improve the unsatisfactory conditions faced by them in the life through the help of hardwork, courage and practicing.
improvements and betterments if they want success in their life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response discusses both positions and gives a clear preference for trying to improve difficult circumstances, especially in the second body paragraph and conclusion. However, the discussion is only partially developed: the first view is presented mainly as accepting hardship to avoid stress, while the opposing view relies on repeated claims about hard work and success. The examples about not getting a suitable job and wanting to become rich are relevant, but they are hypothetical and do not explain in detail how either approach works or when acceptance might be sensible. To strengthen the response, explain each view more fully and make the reasoning behind your own position more precise. The conclusion also contains an unclear, detached phrase about “improvements and betterments.”
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The essay has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help signal the contrast, and the reader can generally follow the main argument. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and several linking expressions are mechanical or awkward, such as “Firstly” and “secondly” introducing points that are not clearly distinct. The conclusion is disrupted by a line break and the fragment “improvements and betterments if they want success in their life,” which does not connect smoothly to the preceding sentence. Use clearer links between claims and explanations, and ensure each paragraph develops one central idea in a logical sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response uses enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate its main ideas, including “challenges,” “hardships,” “anxiety,” and “overcome.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive. For example, “bad situation must be believed and confessd” does not express the intended idea of accepting circumstances, while “the life is the name of ups and downs” is an unnatural expression. Repetition of “hard work,” “try again and again,” and “goal” also limits flexibility. Spelling errors such as “confessd” and “poeple” further affect accuracy. Aim for more precise phrases and vary repeated vocabulary while keeping expressions natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay attempts both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “If they are not capable of accepting the bad situation they will becomes depressed.” However, complex attempts are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to process. Examples include “they will becomes,” “the stress level and the anxiety increases,” and “if he left of his dream,” which show problems with verb forms, agreement, and sentence construction. There are also recurring issues with articles and punctuation, as in “As, the life is the name of ups and downs.” Practise building accurate sentences with subordinate clauses, checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and punctuating introductory phrases correctly.
