Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued by some people that accepting a difficult situation is beneficial because it gives relaxation wherease other people argue that one should find more ways to become successful. I believe that people should try more and improve their difficult situations in case of their jobs and also other things not only because of better lifestyle but also because it boosts their confidence.
People in some country believe that they should try again for better jobs opportunities and accomodations. This is because they think that without working hard they cannot achieve their goals. Take the example of Germany, it was seen there many people were working hard to attain their goals and to protect their families. Thus, it is a mega benefit for people and their country as well because it is good for economic also.
On the other hand, people in some countrries argue that individuals should accept their unsatisfactory job or financial conditions. This is because it is good for peaceful environment and for mental strength. For instance, a survey was conducted in New York where it was reported that fifty percent of people did not want to change their working place because of mind satisfaction. Hence, it is better for mental health conditions and environment.
I believe that it is better to try for a good opportunity not only because it supports economically but also because it provides luxuries lifestyle.
To sum up, even though trying for another prestigious job also has many drawbacks too, I believe it to extremly beneficial for people and also for their country because it supports economic growth and a better life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both views and state your own position clearly: the introduction and conclusion favour trying to improve difficult circumstances. Relevant reasons are given, including economic benefits and mental well-being, and the Germany and New York examples help illustrate the two sides. However, the discussion is unevenly developed. The case for accepting a bad situation is mainly reduced to a general claim about peace and “mind satisfaction,” while the argument for change relies on broad claims about hard work and economic growth. The examples are asserted rather than explained, so their connection to the question is not always convincing. Develop each view with a clearer explanation of why someone might choose it, and make your own reasoning more specific and consistent throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, a statement of opinion, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “On the other hand,” “For instance,” and “To sum up” make the direction of the discussion easy to follow. Some cohesion is mechanical, however, and the separate opinion paragraph repeats the position already stated in the introduction without adding much development. Connections within paragraphs can also be clearer; for example, the move from the Germany example to the claim about benefits for the country is abrupt. Use fewer formulaic transitions and build each paragraph through a clear sequence of claim, explanation, and example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “unsatisfactory job,” “financial conditions,” “mental health,” and “economic growth.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “protect their families” and “working place.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision: “gives relaxation,” “good for economic,” and “luxuries lifestyle” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “wherease,” “accomodations,” “countrries,” and “extremly” are noticeable. Build a more reliable range of common collocations for work, finances, and well-being, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a reason clause (“This is because…”) and a contrast structure (“even though…”). Most of the meaning remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in sentence construction and agreement. For example, “people in some country” needs a plural form, and “it is a mega benefit … because it is good for economic also” has an unclear grammatical structure. The final sentence, “I believe it to extremly beneficial,” is missing the verb “be.” There are also awkwardly joined clauses, as in the opening sentence. Practise checking subject–verb patterns, articles and plural nouns, and make sure each sentence has a complete, clearly structured main clause.
