Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that people should improve their situations, the arguments lack specific, well-developed examples. For instance, the reference to China and Japan is vague and does not clearly explain how their approach supports your argument. The introduction is also slightly confusing due to word choice issues, which makes the initial position less clear. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph focuses on a single, well-explained idea supported by a concrete example or logical reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'Moreover, it demonstrates unparalleled problem' and 'that's why they need to less panicked' show a lack of control over linking words and referencing. Some sentences are disjointed, making the progression of ideas feel repetitive. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') more naturally and ensure that pronouns clearly refer back to the intended nouns.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'disappointed' instead of 'disappointing', 'held campaign' instead of 'campaigns are held', and 'mental benefits' instead of 'mental health benefits'. Some phrases are awkward, such as 'transcended its traditional boundary'. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary rather than relying on simple or incorrectly used words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('everybody need to', 'nations will be rely'), incorrect verb forms ('should need take to effective steps'), and missing articles. Punctuation is also inconsistent. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and ensuring that verb tenses are used consistently throughout the text.
