Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is argued by many people that every person should accept the emergency situation like the need of more money and job which is not suited for one's behavior while others say that it is better to search new job according to their capability and improve financial condition. Although if anyone has unsatisfactory job and faced lack of enough money, I believe that individuals must try to find better career to increase their financial status because it boost productivity and enhance overall well being.
There is a problem of unemployment all over the world. So, many people do job, which is not fulfilled their requirements, but they want to support their family and children. Moreover, when they spend more time in such unsatisfactory environment, they may exhaust and feel stress all time, and it definitely reduce their productivity. For example, in India many people live below the level of poverty, and they can do jobs which make them more physically tired and mentally retarded, and received less pay after a hard work.
There are many options people can do for their future career, like they must learn new skills which helps them for their promotions because it is the time to have many skills to get progress in the jobs. Furthermore, every person should try to search better job, which enhance their productivity and make them physically and mentally healthy. For instance, in China, people offer more job opportunities

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the essay is under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of development. While the ideas are relevant, the supporting arguments, particularly the examples regarding India and China, are somewhat underdeveloped and lack sufficient detail to fully explore the complexities of the prompt. The conclusion is also missing, which is a significant omission for a discursive essay. To improve, ensure you meet the word count requirement and provide a balanced, well-structured conclusion that synthesises the arguments presented.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally repetitive. For instance, the transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs could be smoother. The final paragraph is incomplete, which disrupts the overall logical flow of the argument. To achieve a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and phrases to connect ideas more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence followed by well-developed supporting points.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are some awkward collocations, such as 'mentally retarded' (which is inappropriate and inaccurate in this context) and 'do job'. The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, relying on basic terms like 'good' or 'better'. To improve, try to incorporate more academic vocabulary and precise collocations related to employment and personal development. Avoid using informal or potentially offensive phrasing when discussing sensitive topics.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'many people do job, which is not fulfilled their requirements' and 'they may exhaust and feel stress all time'. These errors in verb tense, article usage, and sentence construction are noticeable. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of passive versus active voice will significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
