Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 156 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While both views are mentioned, the arguments are underdeveloped and the essay ends abruptly mid-sentence ('After some times he became success in o'). The position is stated, but the lack of length prevents a full exploration of the topic. To improve, you must expand on your points with specific examples and ensure the essay is complete.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay uses basic cohesive devices such as 'On the other hand' and 'Therefore'. However, the repetition of 'On the other hand' to introduce both paragraphs is repetitive and logically confusing. Paragraphing is present, but the abrupt ending of the final paragraph disrupts the overall flow and logical progression of the argument. To improve, use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, completed structure.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is limited and sometimes inaccurate, such as 'increase such situations' instead of 'improve' or 'resolve'. Phrases like 'admit a terrible thing' are unnatural in this context. There is a lack of academic vocabulary, and the range is insufficient to express complex ideas clearly. To improve, focus on learning collocations related to problem-solving and professional development, and try to use more precise synonyms for common words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response contains several grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('he became success') and awkward phrasing ('Few people trust that it is good'). The sentence structures are mostly simple, with limited attempts at complex sentences. Punctuation is generally acceptable, but the incomplete final sentence is a major issue. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and ensuring that your verb tenses are consistent throughout the essay.
