Student answer (Band 6.5)
Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money because they think that they have no other option and they have to accept it as their fate .It is also due to their lot of unsuccessful attempts of getting a job according to their own standards or may be result of their own thinking that they will not be able to get that position .
It is all because of lack of positive thinking and self confidence of those people on themselves . As when someone thinks positive his or her brain also works positive and help him to achieve his goals after a lot of failures.
On the other hand some people think that it is better to try and improve such situations because they know that even after failure they can get success in their lives as they take failure as a step to success and they always think positive towards their goals.
Due to their hard work and positive thinking their brain helps their mind not to accept that bad situation which is not their ideal or meets their level of satisfaction .
In my opinion we can say that both of them consider themselves right in their places but those who try again and again and does not accept failure as end of their life can get success as well as money in their lives .
Nobody should take failure as an end of their lives .Everyone can learn a lot of things even from the conditions like unsatisfactory job or shortage of money that life has no end till we are alive . So those who believe in positive thinking always gets success and becomes a role model for others as well.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the argument for accepting a bad situation is attributed primarily to 'lack of positive thinking,' which is a narrow perspective. The discussion on the opposing view is also quite brief and relies on general statements rather than specific examples or logical extensions. To reach a higher band, you should provide more concrete illustrations of how one might improve a situation, such as upskilling or networking, rather than focusing solely on the concept of 'positive thinking.'
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression is hindered by repetitive phrasing and a lack of sophisticated cohesive devices. While you use transition signals like 'On the other hand' and 'In my opinion,' the internal flow within paragraphs is often mechanical. For example, the transition between the first and second paragraphs is abrupt. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each sentence builds logically upon the previous one, rather than restating the same point about 'positive thinking' multiple times.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely heavily on basic terms like 'bad situation,' 'get success,' and 'positive thinking.' There is little evidence of less common lexical items or idiomatic expressions. To improve, try to incorporate more precise vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'resilience,' 'professional development,' or 'financial constraints.' Additionally, ensure that your word choices are natural; for instance, 'works positive' is not a standard collocation and should be replaced with 'functions effectively' or 'adopts a positive outlook.'
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. For example, there are issues with subject-verb agreement ('those who try again and again and does not accept') and missing articles ('getting a job'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with spaces missing before periods and unnecessary capitalization. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. Focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and diversifying your sentence structures to include more complex clauses.
