Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The opinion about the people's believe about the accepting or trying to resolve the issues to improve their life.
Firstly, lets discuss the first thought that is accepting the situation and do not try to improve it. Changes takes time and if someone tries it happens eventually, but there is lot of effort and self believe is required to make that happen. There could be these reasons for that people do not want to leave their comfort zone.
Conversely, there is opinion that is solving those issues and get out these circumstances. These people think completely in contrast, and wants to make effort for the better future.
In my opinion, the second ideology is better and we have to work for better future everyday. If we are in bad situation we must have to make efforts for the betterment . As if we humans in this world doing that from ages. In the initial times, there were hard to move big objects from one place to another. If we keep doing that and accept that situation, we would not have the vehicles these days. My believe that every problem is not a problem but a beginning of the solution.
Furthermore, change is essential for growth, and advancement in any field. The lifestyle that we have today is because of the continued effort of our ancestors. We have come a long way, from leaving in jungles to these skyscraper. Eventually, it does not matter whether your dream come true or not , it is making self satisfied.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding why people accept bad situations are underdeveloped, relying on vague statements like 'comfort zone' without specific examples. The second view is supported by a historical analogy about moving objects, which is somewhat tangential. The essay lacks the depth required for a higher band, as the points remain superficial rather than fully extended. The introduction is also weak, failing to clearly paraphrase the prompt or outline the essay structure effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is often disjointed. While some cohesive devices are used (e.g., 'Firstly', 'Conversely', 'Furthermore'), they are sometimes used mechanically or incorrectly. For instance, the transition between the historical example and the conclusion is abrupt. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'As if we humans in this world doing that from ages', which lacks a clear connection to the preceding thought. Paragraphing is present but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks a strong thematic focus.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic phrasing. There are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'people's believe' instead of 'people's belief', 'get out these circumstances' instead of 'get out of these circumstances', and 'making self satisfied' instead of 'personal satisfaction'. The range of vocabulary is sufficient to convey the basic meaning, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for a higher band. The student struggles with word forms (e.g., 'believe' vs 'belief').
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability, such as 'Changes takes time' (subject-verb agreement), 'If we keep doing that and accept that situation, we would not have the vehicles' (conditional tense error), and 'from leaving in jungles' instead of 'living'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas and periods. These errors are frequent and represent a significant weakness in the control of complex structures.
