Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some individuals are satisfy with low income job or shortage of funds in the life accepting as thier destiny while others believes in improving the situation and try to do something progressive in order to overcome the hardships.

People who do not want to change the circumstances are trying to adjust and live according to their income. It is hard for them to leave the comfort zone and change the job or the work and try something new in the life. They are not happy but could not do any thing because of procostination. Often blame others for thier situation and did not do anything on their own and just waiting for the golden opportunity that might by miracle come to them for doing nothing.

However, visionary people do not remain satisfy in the job they do not like or the business that is not producing more profit. They are always try to find ways to maximize the income by changing the method of doing work. They want to give better future to their kids and can go to abroad for provide more for the family. They try to remain motivated all the time because that is key to success. If motivation is lost then you will end up as a normal person who do not want change any thing in life.

In my opinion, always try to improve the financial situation by doing some thing new and protitable. If a person remains in same circumstances and do not want change, then ready to face negative outcomes in the future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the explanation of why people accept bad situations is limited to 'procrastination' and 'comfort zone,' lacking depth. Similarly, the argument for improving situations is repetitive, focusing mainly on 'motivation.' To reach a higher band, you need to provide more specific examples or logical consequences for each perspective. The conclusion is present but brief, and the overall argument could be more thoroughly explored to fully satisfy the requirements of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes mechanical. For example, the transition 'However' is used correctly, but other links between sentences are weak or missing, making the flow feel disjointed. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'do not want change any thing in life,' where the subject is ambiguous. Improving the use of linking words (e.g., 'consequently,' 'furthermore,' 'in contrast') would significantly enhance the logical progression of your arguments.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'satisfy' instead of 'satisfied,' 'protitable' (spelling error), and 'do not want change' instead of 'do not want to change.' You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with collocations. To improve, focus on using more sophisticated synonyms and ensuring correct word forms. For example, instead of 'do something progressive,' consider using 'take proactive measures' or 'strive for advancement.'

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('others believes,' 'people... is'), missing articles ('in the life'), and incorrect verb forms ('did not do anything on their own and just waiting'). Punctuation is also inconsistent. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like tense consistency and pluralisation.
