Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations.
Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is generlly adopted by some general public, it is the best pratice to accept a unsatisfactory or low income during the jobs rather than to amend to change that situations. I believe that, it is better to try something innovative and explore better options rather than to stuck in a bad situation
Firstly, if a person is working in a low salary jobs, then its may be difficult for him to maage his daily expenses, that brings disappontment to him. For instance, during pandemic of COVID, most of the industries lower workers salary to mee the global ecomic loss as a result many indiviuals has to left thier jobs and become selfemployed rather than to stuck to work in saturated comapny.
Secondly, if a peson is not happy with the environment or the job responsibility of a company that it would not be possible for someone to perform better. For instance, a graphic designer is asked to do a calling or smarketing activity which is irrelevant to his qualification may destroy that person talent. Thus, it ic recoemmended to change that job and find a relevent one.
In contrary to that, if a person stuck in an unusual situation that he might cannot be changed its prefer to accept that situation as it rather than to try to improve it. For instance, if a company due to uncertain reason incurs some loss, and salaries of the employes may be delayed or reduced to the orignal one then in that particular situation the person should cooperate with the system.
In a nutshell, it is always best approach to explore new oppurtunities in case of low salary income, irrevelent job responsibilites or toxic environement, whereas, if you cant change the situation or uncertain situation may come then a person is not apperciated to change the situation or waste his energy or time.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact of job satisfaction on performance. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited by the brevity of the explanations and the lack of depth in the arguments. The position is consistent throughout, but the conclusion is slightly repetitive. To improve, you should aim to expand on your examples with more detailed analysis rather than just stating them, ensuring that the link between the example and the main argument is more robust.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In a nutshell' to signal the progression of your argument. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where referencing is unclear, such as the phrase 'that it would not be possible' in the second paragraph. The use of cohesive devices is adequate but lacks the flexibility required for a higher band. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'saturated company', 'innovative', and 'irrelevant'. However, there are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'generlly', 'pratice', 'ecomic', 'indiviuals', 'oppurtunities') and some awkward collocations (e.g., 'amend to change that situations'). These errors do not completely impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To reach a higher band, focus on accurate spelling and using more sophisticated collocations that sound natural in an academic context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('most of the industries lower workers salary', 'many indiviuals has to left') and incorrect verb forms ('if a person stuck', 'he might cannot be changed'). While these errors rarely prevent the reader from understanding your point, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, particularly tense consistency and the correct use of modal verbs, before attempting more complex structures.
