Student answer (Band 5.5)

Almost , every person are suffering from bad situation nowadays such as anxiety, depression, fear of missing out etc. it is good to accept a bad situation , such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money but in someways it may backfire as well. this essay will present certain facts and examples to support my viewpoints before coming to the conclusion.

This paragraph will shed some light on the positives that it is best to accept a bad situation. firstly time will never stop for anyone whether it is bad days or good days time will passed and at some point people will forget about their past hence, it is good to accept every situation and to be happy with patience. however for some people it is difficult to find solution for overcome from this type of bad situation and many times they took wrong decision but having said that one day they realized that how silly that problem was so in point of view people should accept situation if they can this thing also written in Bhagwat Geeta which is famous for teaching life skills and how gave solution of every problem. so to accept the every situation will always be fruitful.

furthermore, such a decision may also impact negatively on the some kind of decision if person are suffering from finances and have a loan on his head but still not doing anything to improve their life it will may create problem in future also for his family. there are lots of successful people like Mark Zukerberg, Elon Musk and many more they improve their situation from learning mistake and try to do better every time.

Hence this way particular person have chance of living their life in more better way.

to conclude, even though it is good to accept bad situations but at some extent. for better life and improve the living standards in future it is better to try and improve bad situations.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both views and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention the benefits of acceptance and the necessity of taking action, the arguments lack depth and specific supporting evidence. For instance, the reference to the Bhagavad Gita is a good attempt at support, but it is not fully integrated into the argument. The conclusion is present but lacks a strong summary of the main points. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph focuses on a single clear idea supported by detailed explanation or concrete examples rather than general statements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive (e.g., 'furthermore', 'hence', 'to conclude'). There are instances where the logical flow between sentences is disjointed, such as the transition between the discussion of time and the mention of the Bhagavad Gita. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult to track the subject of the sentences. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one will help achieve a higher score.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. You rely on basic phrasing, such as 'bad situation' and 'good to accept', which are repeated throughout the text. There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'solution for overcome' instead of 'solution to overcome' and 'loan on his head' instead of 'debt'. To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'resilience', 'proactive', 'adversity', or 'financial constraints', and focus on using them in their correct collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('every person are suffering'), article usage ('on the some kind of decision'), and tense consistency ('time will passed'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing commas and incorrect capitalization. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
