Student answer (Band 4.5)
Different individuals argue whether to one can just accept a situation that is un acceptible for example, a job not done very well or shortage of money or they could find better ways to improve such siatuations.
One might think that the best way to deal with unfavoureble situations is just accepting them and moving on. In most cases the issues are irreversible and moving on allows people to focus on the other things that they can control

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under-length at only 78 words, failing to meet the 250-word minimum requirement. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed. While the introduction attempts to outline the two opposing views, the essay lacks the necessary development, supporting arguments, and a clear, sustained position required for a higher band. The discussion is cut off prematurely, meaning the prompt's requirement to 'discuss both views' and 'give your own opinion' is not fulfilled. To improve, you must expand your ideas with specific examples and logical explanations to meet the word count and provide a comprehensive response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The response is too brief to demonstrate effective paragraphing or a logical progression of ideas. While there is a basic attempt to introduce the topic and present one perspective, the lack of a full essay structure makes it difficult to assess your ability to manage cohesion. There are no clear linking words or cohesive devices used to connect sentences or arguments. To improve, ensure you use clear paragraph breaks for each main idea and employ transition signals such as 'furthermore', 'conversely', or 'in conclusion' to guide the reader through your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.5
The vocabulary is quite limited and contains several spelling errors, such as 'unacceptible' (unacceptable), 'siatuations' (situations), and 'unfavoureble' (unfavourable). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to demonstrate the flexibility required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing, such as 'moving on' and 'issues are irreversible'. To improve, focus on learning the correct spelling of common academic terms and attempt to incorporate more precise, topic-specific vocabulary related to personal development, career management, and financial decision-making.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The grammar shows a mix of simple structures, but there are noticeable errors that affect the flow. For example, the opening sentence 'Different individuals argue whether to one can just accept' is grammatically incorrect. There is also a lack of punctuation, such as the missing comma after 'for example'. Because the text is so short, it is difficult to judge your ability to use a wide range of complex structures. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement and punctuation errors before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
