Student answer (Band 5.5)
IT HAS BEEN BELIEVED THAT IN TODAY'S COMPLEX WORLD INDIVIDUALS SHOULD ACCEPT A CRUCIAL MOMENTS LIKE FINANCIAL UNSTABIITY AND DISAPPOINTING JOB ROLE. WHILE OTHER PEOPLE DEBATE ON TO TRY AND BOUNCE BACK FROM DIFFICULT SITUATIONS. WHEN THIS TOPIC OCCURED THERE ARE DIVIDED OPINIONS. MEANWHILE, NOT ONLY BOTH VIEW BUT ALSO MY OPINION WILL BE EXPLAINED IN THE ENSUING PARAGRAPHS, ALONG WITH EXAMPLES.
EXAMINING THE FORMAL OPINION, THE FUNDAMENTAL ARGUMENT THE PEOPLE WOULD PUT FORWARD IS PEOPLE THINK THAT IT IS BEST TO ACCEPT A BAD TIME. TO JUSTIFY IT FURTHER, PEOPLE SHOULD ACCEPT THE SITUATION AND CONTINUE THE WORK. HOWEVER, PEOPLE DOES NOT LIKE JOB POSITION OR SALARY SATISFACTION. PEOPLE SHOULD CONTINUES THEIR TASK AND SCENARIO BECAUSE SOME MOMENTS ARE BEYOND OUR CONTROL. FOR INSANCE, A PERSON MAY HAVE LOW PAYING JOB BECAUSE OF FEW EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY IN THEIR AREA. THAT'S WHY PEOPLE MAY HAVE ACCEPT THE TEMPORARY DIFFICULTIES. FOR EXAMPLE, PEOPLE CAN SERVIVE IN FINANCIAL CRISIST AND IT IS BETTER THAN UNEMPOLYMENT.
ON OTHER SIDE, LATER VIEW HAS ITS OWN CLAIM. THE MOST SIGNIFICANT ARGUMENT IS IT IS THE BEST WAY TO IMPROVE THE SITUATION IS HARD WORK AND TRYING TO IMPROVE PERSONAL GROWTH. TO BE MORE SPECIFIC, PEOPLE CAN GAIN NEW SKILLS AND FIND THE NEW OPPORTUNITIES. ONE PROMINENT EXAMPLE IS SOMEONE WHO IS UNHALLPY WITH THEIR JOB AND SALARY COULD TAKE NEW COURSE AND DEVELOP A PROFFESIONAL SKILLS.
IN CONCLUSION, IN THIS COMTEMPORARY ERA, ACCORDING TO MY PERSPECTIVE, ACCEPT THE SITUATION TEMPORARY, BUT PEOPLE SHOULD TRY TO IMPROVE THE CONDITION.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding accepting a situation are somewhat repetitive, and the second viewpoint lacks depth in its explanation of how to improve one's circumstances. While the position is clear, the supporting examples are brief and lack the necessary detail to fully explore the complexities of the topic. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your reasoning with more specific, illustrative examples and ensure that each paragraph contributes significantly to the overall argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'When this topic occured' or 'On other side'. The transition between ideas is sometimes abrupt, and the referencing is occasionally unclear. While there is a logical progression, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the repetitive nature of some transitions hinder the flow. Improving the variety of cohesive devices and ensuring they are used naturally will help to improve the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'crucial moments' instead of 'difficult circumstances' and 'servive in financial crisist'. Spelling errors are also present, which occasionally distract the reader. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific collocations and ensure you are using words in their correct context. Expanding your vocabulary to include more academic and precise terms will significantly enhance your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'people does not like'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'people may have accept'), and missing articles. While the meaning is generally clear, these errors are frequent and persist throughout the response. To improve, you should practice using a wider variety of complex sentence structures, such as conditional sentences or relative clauses, and pay closer attention to basic grammatical rules like tense consistency and subject-verb agreement.
