Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is undeniable that different people have different opinion in their life. In this regard few individuals believes that it is best to accept a harrowing upshots, such as unsatisfactory job or shortage of money whereas leftovers argue that it is better to try with determination and dedication to ameliorate such situations. Well,i am in favour of second ideology and both the ideologies are articulated in following segments.

Fundamentally, there are predominant factors evidently triggering towards this are observed here. If a person do not get his satisfactory job he is not needed to get sad and blame himself as people do not get everything what they want and be satisfy what they have. Moreover, if person have a shortage of money or going through a bad period life he must not loose his faith an keep patience until that bad phase of their life passes and not run from the problems as accept the situation and deal with it.

Nevertheless, I am with proponents who deem that it is better to try and improve such situations as if person is getting harrowing upshorts he do not lose his faith and try to get a refined knowledge about the work and do it with judicious planning as it is not a daunting task yet person can get success after some or many tries.

To conclude, although according to some dwellers it is best to accept bad situation yet in my contention it is better to try and improve such situations

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments for accepting a situation are somewhat repetitive, focusing on 'not getting sad' and 'keeping faith,' rather than exploring the practical or psychological benefits of acceptance. Similarly, the argument for improving one's situation lacks specific examples or depth, relying on vague phrases like 'judicious planning.' While the task is addressed, the ideas are not fully extended or supported with concrete evidence, which is necessary for a higher band score. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments remain at a surface level.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the use of 'leftovers' to refer to the second group of people is inappropriate and confusing. Transitions between sentences are sometimes abrupt, and the logical flow within paragraphs is hindered by awkward phrasing. While there is an attempt to use linking words like 'Fundamentally' and 'Nevertheless,' the overall progression of ideas feels disjointed. Paragraphing is present, but the internal cohesion needs significant improvement to reach a higher level.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is limited and often inaccurate. There are several instances of word-choice errors that impede clarity, such as 'harrowing upshots' (which does not fit the context of a job or money) and 'dwellers' (used incorrectly to mean 'people'). The phrase 'second ideology' is also slightly unnatural in this context. While the student attempts to use more sophisticated words, they are frequently misused, leading to confusion. To improve, the student should focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that the words chosen accurately reflect the intended meaning rather than using complex-sounding terms incorrectly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally make the text difficult to follow. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'few individuals believes' and 'if a person do not get.' Additionally, there are errors with articles ('a unsatisfactory job') and verb forms ('be satisfy'). The sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and the capitalization of 'i'. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of basic errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band.
