On the one hand, acceptance of a bad situation can help the individual achieve temporary relief. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For example, the argument that trying to improve a situation causes 'chronic stress' is a strong claim that lacks sufficient supporting evidence or logical depth. The discussion regarding the benefits of seeking new opportunities is also quite brief. To reach a higher band, you should expand your points with more detailed explanations or specific, real-world examples to demonstrate a more thorough exploration of the topic. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments need more substance to be fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand,' 'On the other hand,' and 'In conclusion' are used to signal the structure. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and some transitions feel slightly forced. For instance, the phrase 'As an overall result' is not a standard collocation. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'either a solution is found or not,' which disrupts the logical progression. Improving the variety and naturalness of your linking words will help the essay flow more smoothly.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'uncertainties,' 'endeavors,' and 'consolidated.' However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors that hinder precision. For example, 'job unsatisfactory' should be 'job dissatisfaction,' and 'hair to try' appears to be a significant typo or misuse. The phrase 'particulate affair' is also misused in this context. While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, you need to focus on using words in their correct collocations and ensuring that your word choices are accurate to achieve a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. For example, 'the both notions' is grammatically incorrect (should be 'both notions'), and 'either a solution is found or not' is awkwardly phrased. There are also issues with article usage and subject-verb agreement, such as 'affect person's mental health' (should be 'affect a person's mental health'). To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect word forms, which will allow your more complex structures to be more effective.
