Student answer (Band 6.0)

Some individuals argue that it is better to evolved with bad situation, such as having a less salary or a job we did not like. While others say it is a most better way to compete with those situations and try our best to improve such situations, and i am strongly support this opinion. This essay will explain why.

The most significant and prominent reason behind accepting this situation is increasing ratio of unemployment in society. For instance, in recent years the population increased rapidly that is why the availability of workers increased in market. Hence most numbers of individuals started to work in any field where they got chance with less salary. Moreover they also have a responsibility to feed a family. While some people don not have the guts in them they have a fear of failure in their mind, so they do not try new things, they accept less salary.

In contrast, others argue that we get a life as a life only one time so we should have to try harder to reach success. Because success is a thing which do not come easily it needs hardwork with consistancy. when we reach to our goal our life will better and satisfying. For instance, Mr. Mukesh Ambani is a resident of India, he is currently ranked as a number 3 among a reach person around the world, and he was a tea seller in his early days he don not like this job so he started his small transport business and did lot of hardwork and sacrifices to reach that milestone.

In conclusion, from my perspective trying new things to improve our life conditions is a better option rather than doing unsatisfactory job or with shoratage of money.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The argument for accepting a bad situation is supported by the concept of unemployment, but the explanation is slightly repetitive. The second body paragraph uses an example (Mukesh Ambani) to support the opposing view, which is relevant, but the connection between his specific success and the general argument could be more analytical. The position is consistent throughout, but the depth of discussion is more characteristic of a Band 6, as some points are under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is an attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'In contrast', and 'In conclusion'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally unclear. For example, the transition between the unemployment argument and the fear of failure in the first body paragraph is abrupt. While the overall progression is coherent, the use of cohesive devices lacks the flexibility required for a higher band.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several instances of awkward phrasing or incorrect word choice, such as 'evolved with bad situation' (instead of 'accept a bad situation') and 'a most better way' (which is grammatically incorrect). The student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'unemployment' and 'milestone', but the overall lexical control is limited, and there are noticeable errors that occasionally hinder the natural flow of the text.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('success is a thing which do not come easily'), incorrect verb forms ('we get a life as a life only one time'), and punctuation errors. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. The control over complex structures is inconsistent.
