Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many people believe that, doing unsatisfactory job or shortage of money is the best way to accept the situation to continue the life, while others argue that it is better to try and improve situations. In this passage i will discuss both the views and i believe that trying for better situation is the best option.
on the one hand, as the technology grew the level of unemployment has been increased and the jobs becomes difficult to find. The unemployment can ultimately leads to the shortage of money, as weel as leads to unsatisfaction in the work. For instance, as the development of artificial intelligence occurred, the work of IT departments taken place by artificial intelligence . Therefor IT departments has less need for the IT based workers, because most of the work can be done by the artificial intelligence. Ultimately, it lead to increase in the number of unemployment for the workers of IT department.
On the other hand, the better to overcome from this situation is by trying the new ways that can give you satisfaction in job and money. For example, if a person is not feel enough of earning money in job or not feel satisfied by doing work under someone or any other reason, therefor they can try to start their own business to ear money in large amount. However in business, they have to have enough confident and patience to get money and satisfaction in work, because business is all about slow and steady growth after long period of hard work.
From my perspective, i believe that it's better to try a new start up in life to get satisfied with the basic needs of life which is money and work, than accepting the unsatisfactory work or shortage of money.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion, meeting the requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The discussion on the first view (accepting the situation) is slightly confused by the phrasing 'doing unsatisfactory job... is the best way to accept the situation', which makes the argument feel a bit circular. The second view is supported by the example of starting a business, but the explanation lacks depth. To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced arguments and ensure the link between the examples and the main topic is more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'on the one hand', 'on the other hand', and 'for instance'. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'the better to overcome from this situation is by trying'. Additionally, some sentences are disjointed, and the logical flow between ideas could be smoother. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'the work of IT departments taken place by artificial intelligence' instead of 'replaced by' or 'automated'. You also repeat words like 'money', 'work', and 'situation' frequently. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary and synonyms to avoid repetition and demonstrate a more sophisticated command of the language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('IT departments has less need'), incorrect verb forms ('the work... taken place'), and missing articles or prepositions ('overcome from this situation'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to distract the reader. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy and proofreading for common errors would be a beneficial next step.
