Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack specific examples or logical depth. For instance, the discussion on why people accept bad situations is vague, relying on terms like 'stubbornness' rather than exploring socio-economic or psychological factors. To reach a higher band, you need to extend your arguments with concrete illustrations or more nuanced reasoning. The conclusion is present but brief, and the overall structure of the argument could be more robustly supported to fully meet the requirements of a Band 6 or higher.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between and within sentences is often disjointed. While you use some cohesive devices like 'However', 'Moreover', and 'In other words', they are sometimes used incorrectly or in a way that makes the logic difficult to follow. For example, the transition 'In other words facing the situation with a right intent will give you hardships' does not logically connect to the previous sentence. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to track the progression of your argument. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear central theme would significantly enhance coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often imprecise. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'bad situation' and 'make the situation good' repeatedly, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'fraction of masses' and 'unsatisfactory nature to get more', which sound unnatural. To improve, you should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to personal development, resilience, and career satisfaction. Using a wider range of synonyms and more precise adjectives would help you convey your points more effectively and move toward a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'The scenarios... depends'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or lack proper punctuation, making them difficult to parse. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty, leading to confusion. For example, 'Meanwhile they are also having a slight inside feeling if the can be able to turn the situation' is grammatically incorrect and unclear. Focusing on basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb tenses, and proofreading for punctuation errors will help improve your accuracy.
