Student answer (Band 4.0)
There are two type of personalities that i am going to discuss in my writting. One which accept all the situation and do not try to make efforts and on the otherhand, one that always do try and attempts to changes their lifes. Those person who accept all the situation are generally introvard personalities who feels shyness to talk other people and they stay way from gatherings. they do not collaborate with someone easily. may be thaey have some kinf of fears like being judge by other so because of these fears they do not take step toward the success and compromise with their current situation. althought the the people who dont not feel any hesitation in talking about anything they do not have tought that what will i said something wrong or people will judge me. They make their mind as everyone have to pass trough hardles to achieve something. so its not a big deal for them. they are not over thinking persons.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 164 words. Furthermore, the content does not adequately address the prompt. While it touches upon the two perspectives, it focuses disproportionately on personality types (introverts vs. extroverts) rather than the core issue of whether one should accept or improve a bad situation. The student's own opinion is not clearly stated or developed. Because the response is significantly under-length and lacks the necessary depth and focus required for an Academic Task 2 essay, it falls into the lower band range.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The essay lacks a clear structure. There is no introduction or conclusion, and the response is presented as a single, dense paragraph. Cohesive devices are largely absent or misused, such as the awkward transition 'althought the the people'. The logical progression of ideas is difficult to follow because the focus shifts from the prompt's topic to a general discussion about personality traits. Paragraphing is non-existent, which is a significant requirement for this task. To improve, the student should use clear paragraph breaks for each main idea and employ linking words like 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in contrast' to connect sentences.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, relying on basic terms such as 'situation', 'people', and 'things'. There are several spelling errors, such as 'introvard', 'shyness', 'thaey', 'kinf', and 'tought'. The word choice is often imprecise, for example, 'do not take step toward the success' and 'make their mind'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas effectively. To reach a higher band, the student needs to expand their range of academic vocabulary and focus on accurate spelling and correct word collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('one that always do try'), pluralization ('two type of personalities'), and article usage ('the the people'). Sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing commas and incorrect capitalization. The high frequency of errors throughout the text makes it difficult for the reader to follow the intended meaning. A focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors is essential for improvement.
