Student answer (Band 5.5)

A man always face many situation in his whole life and some are difficult and few are happy so, some people believes if a man stuck in bad condition then he need to accept it and other think's it is better to try for best. I will explain some reasons that can support my opinion.

I have some some reason and also examples for both point of views. First of all, I starting discussion for those people who think it is acceptable condition. For example if a man is in bad condition and then he need to accept this condition with smiley face and bear all difficulties with bravery because when we saw a success man and also his best job or post then we always wish for this bless but we never think about those difficulties and also hard times that he faced for his success.

So, we needs to bear all hard things with patience and never give up and continue the hardworking. Second of all, I think when people failed in their efforts and never try to held it again so these people are those who never achieved their goals and never became a successful father. So we need need steady hard working in our life and then we got our dream.

There are many advantages of doing the things again and again. Firstly when the a man does his work with many tries and also with different strategies so, this man become a professional in that work and he never face any problem in this work and he feels no hesitation in doing this duty.

In conclusion, according to my opinion, when we are fail in any activity so, we need to improve it properly but never gives up.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both views, but the development of ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive. While you mention the importance of accepting a situation and the value of persistence, the arguments lack depth and specific, logical examples. The position is clear, but the explanation of why one might choose to accept a bad situation is slightly confused, as you conflate 'accepting' with 'bearing difficulties to achieve success.' To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a distinct, well-supported argument rather than repeating the need for hard work. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the two perspectives discussed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'Second of all' and 'First of all.' Some transitions are awkward, and the logical flow between sentences is occasionally interrupted by grammatical errors. Referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult to track the subject of your arguments. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words more naturally and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one to create a smoother progression of ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'bad condition,' 'hard things,' and 'hardworking.' There are instances of word-choice errors, such as 'success man' instead of 'successful person' and 'held it again' instead of 'try again.' While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated vocabulary and occasional collocation errors limit the score. Try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to personal development, resilience, and career progression to demonstrate a broader range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('some people believes,' 'other think's'), article usage ('the a man'), and tense inconsistencies. Sentence structures are mostly simple, with limited attempts at complex sentences, and those that are attempted often contain errors in punctuation or clause construction. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Additionally, practice combining simple sentences into more complex ones using subordinating conjunctions to demonstrate a wider grammatical range.
