Student answer (Band 5.5)

Few individuals think that it is good to adapt a bad situation, such as unsatisfactory job or shortage of money, while others argue that it is better to try again by improving such situations. However it ultimatelly comes down to individuals prespective.

Firstly, few indi people believe that bad situation or unsatisfactory job is a result of their input to their future, they some have have narrow mindset about their capabilities. They began to consider that they are incapable of doing anything. After enormus discussions withien themselves they are afraid to move on, and due to this particular mindset their remain in a bad situation or end upin a unsatisafactory job.

Secondly, individuals who argue that it is better to try again and improve such situations are the ones who have tried multiple times and have even faced rough situations with multiple rejections or even less compatible jobs, but after every rejections, they have started again to improve such situations.

In my opinion, it is always better to try again. The situation can only get better after figuring out particular things. Accepting a bad situation and not trying the another time is not the solution Having shortage of money doesn't replenishes your attempts These particular assumptions are often made by the ones who doesn't even try once more in order to success. The people accepting the reality and trying to improve such situations are the ones who have ones faced unsatisfactory job or even shortage of money, but by improving they have changed the scenario multiple attempts doesn't makes you an awful person, instead it encourages your spirit. But individuals having different mindset always end up in tough desisons.

In my conclusion, having distinct mindset doesn't makes a person's situation worse. If individuals desicion to not trying again makes them agg agree to their situation.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the explanation of why people accept bad situations is vague, relying on the phrase 'narrow mindset' without providing concrete examples or deeper analysis. The arguments for improving situations are also somewhat circular, focusing on the act of trying rather than the benefits or consequences of such actions. To improve, you should provide more specific examples or logical consequences for each perspective to fully develop your arguments.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the progression of ideas is often hindered by awkward phrasing and a lack of clear cohesive devices. While you use transition words like 'Firstly' and 'Secondly', the internal flow within paragraphs is disjointed. For example, the transition between the second and third paragraphs is abrupt. Additionally, referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult to track the subjects of your sentences. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there is a lack of precision and a reliance on simple, repetitive language. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'adapt a bad situation' (should be 'accept') and 'replenishes your attempts' (which is contextually incorrect). Furthermore, there are frequent spelling errors like 'ultimatelly', 'prespective', 'indi', and 'enormus'. To reach a higher band, you need to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary and use it with greater accuracy, ensuring that words are used in their correct collocations and contexts.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the ones who doesn't even try', 'multiple attempts doesn't makes'), incorrect verb forms, and missing articles. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and article usage would be a beneficial starting point for improvement.
