Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often believed by some people that bad situations always give big lessons, it is better to accept it, while others argue that keeping try to achieve the goals and never loss hope is best decision for the best outcome. This essay will discuss both views before explaining why I believe that people should take lessons from the failures to be successful and satisfied in their lives.
On the one hand, bad situations such as shortage of money or unsatisfactory job always make people unhappy. They should not think negative, instead of it , always be grateful what they have. To be positive, they should read books and discuss their feeling and emotions with their loved ones because spending time with their families is much better than thinking negative. As a result, they can be more productive and happier. Consequently, accepting what they have is the best way to be satisfied.
On the other hand, people get failed and unsuccessful at their jobs or in business makes them feel more unhappy. They should keep trying and never give up because life gives chances again and again. Therefore, when they do more hard work and more effort, then they become more motivated and they can have more experience to overcome from problems. Consequently, it is best option for people to improve bad situations.
In conclusion, although it is not possible to achieve good outcomes for those who are not well prepared for the situation, being reliansce is much better because people learn more from their mistakes. I believe that people should hard work wheather situations are not favourable which makes them more likely to get a better result.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The essay addresses both views and provides a clear personal position. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument for accepting a bad situation is supported by general advice (reading books, spending time with family) rather than a deeper exploration of the psychological or practical benefits of acceptance. Similarly, the argument for improving situations is repetitive, focusing on 'hard work' without exploring the complexities of such an approach. While the task is addressed, the supporting points lack depth and specific examples, which prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. The position is consistent, but the arguments remain at a surface level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'instead of it , always be grateful'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'people get failed and unsuccessful at their jobs or in business makes them feel more unhappy', where the grammatical structure obscures the logical connection between the cause and the feeling. Paragraphing is appropriate, but the flow between sentences could be smoother.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There is a reliance on basic phrasing, such as 'bad situations', 'make people unhappy', and 'hard work'. Some word choices are inaccurate or non-standard, such as 'keeping try' instead of 'keeping trying', 'reliansce' (likely intended as 'resilience'), and 'wheather' (spelled as 'weather' instead of 'whether'). While the meaning is generally clear, the limited range of vocabulary and the presence of spelling and collocation errors restrict the score. To improve, the student should focus on using more sophisticated synonyms and ensuring correct word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include 'It is often believed by some people that bad situations always give big lessons, it is better to accept it' (a comma splice), 'be grateful what they have' (missing preposition), and 'overcome from problems' (incorrect preposition usage). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are also inconsistent. While the meaning is usually understandable, the frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. More attention to sentence boundaries and verb forms is required.
