Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some people argue that accepting bad situation is the best for individual’s, including unsatisfaction of job, insufficiency of fund, while others believe that it is better to try and improve their situation. This essay will be discussed both situations and my opinion.
There are some individuals’ who think that it is better to accept any situation whether it is good or bad for them. The foremost reason is the financial stability. As they are enrolled in any company, they get salary, which may be useful to cover up their living cost. Nowadays, rent is the most significant expense for everyone, so if people earn a little, they are able to spend on it. Moreover, some difficult situations may only be temporary, so accepting them for a short period can be a practical approach. People can wait for better opportunities while maintaining their current source of income.
However, some people think that it is better to try and enhance their situation. Firstly, dissatisfaction can motivate individual to develop new skills. They can take courses, gain qualifications or learn practical skills that may be helpful for them to get their desired job. These skills can help them find a better job with high wages. Secondly, it not only enhance their personal growth but also boost their motivation. Taking action can make people more confident, independent, and motivated. Successfully overcoming difficulties can also improve their quality of life and future career prospects.
In conclusion, some people favor that the best thing is to accept any situation whether it is bad or good. The others think that the best thing is to improve themselves and try again. I believe that although accepting bad situation may be the best option temporarily, people should try to improve their skills and gain valuable experience that may benefit their future career prospects.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. The ideas are relevant and generally well-developed, particularly in the second body paragraph regarding personal growth and skill acquisition. However, the introduction is slightly weak, with awkward phrasing like 'This essay will be discussed both situations'. While the main points are supported, the development of the first view (accepting a situation) is somewhat simplistic, focusing primarily on financial stability. To reach a higher band, the arguments could be more nuanced, perhaps exploring the psychological benefits of acceptance or the potential risks of constant striving.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two opposing views. Cohesive devices such as 'The foremost reason', 'Moreover', 'However', and 'Firstly' are used to guide the reader through the argument. While the flow is generally smooth, some transitions feel a bit mechanical. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally slightly unclear, such as in the opening sentence where 'individual’s' is used incorrectly, affecting the overall cohesion of the introductory statement.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'financial stability' and 'career prospects'. However, there are several instances of inaccurate word choice and awkward collocations, such as 'unsatisfaction of job' (should be 'job dissatisfaction'), 'insufficiency of fund' (should be 'lack of funds'), and 'cover up their living cost' (should be 'cover their living costs'). These errors do not impede communication but prevent the essay from reaching a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There is a good attempt at using conditional structures and relative clauses. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the best for individual’s'), pluralization ('some individuals’ who think'), and subject-verb agreement. Punctuation is generally functional, but the misuse of apostrophes and minor errors in sentence construction occur throughout. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, they are frequent enough to limit the score to a 6.0.
