Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 167 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While the essay attempts to address both views, the discussion is superficial and lacks the necessary depth to fully explore the arguments. The position is stated, but the supporting points are underdeveloped and repetitive. To improve, you must expand on your arguments with specific examples and logical explanations, ensuring you meet the length requirement to allow for a full discussion of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay shows some attempt at paragraphing, but the logical progression is weak. The transition between the introduction and the body paragraph is abrupt, and the ideas within the paragraph lack a clear, cohesive flow. Cohesive devices are either missing or used incorrectly, such as the awkward phrasing 'So, that the person is trained'. The referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is limited and often inaccurate. There are several errors in word choice and form, such as 'poverity' (poverty) and 'is became a useless' (becomes useless). The repetition of basic words like 'situation', 'problems', and 'person' indicates a lack of variety. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more precise vocabulary and collocations related to the topic of employment and personal development. You should also pay closer attention to word forms and spelling to avoid distracting errors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'Most of the peoples believe' and 'Those people who thinks'. Sentence structures are predominantly simple, and attempts at more complex sentences often result in errors, such as 'A lack of problems he faces such as shortage of money'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the placement of commas. You need to focus on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles to improve your accuracy.
