Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under the required word count of 250 words, containing only 84 words. This failure to meet the minimum length requirement severely limits the development of ideas. While the prompt asks to discuss both views and provide an opinion, the response is too brief to adequately address these points. The ideas presented are underdeveloped and lack the necessary supporting arguments or examples required for an academic essay. Consequently, the response fails to address the task requirements in a meaningful way.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The response consists of only two sentences, which prevents the development of a logical structure or the use of paragraphing. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link ideas, making the text feel disjointed. The progression of ideas is unclear because the response is too short to establish a coherent argument. To improve, you must organize your response into clear paragraphs with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, using linking words like 'however', 'furthermore', and 'consequently' to connect your thoughts.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary is very limited and often inaccurate. Phrases like 'well manner to admit' and 'unawareded work' are non-standard and impede the reader's understanding. There is a lack of academic tone and precision. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with collocations, such as 'makes competition' or 'makes changing in a routine'. To achieve a higher score, you need to expand your range of vocabulary and focus on using words in their correct context, particularly when discussing professional or financial topics.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that make the text difficult to follow. Examples include 'Most of the individual believe' (subject-verb agreement), 'it is the satisfactory to make competition' (incorrect word form), and 'not the best to professionalism' (incorrect prepositional usage). The sentence structures are simple and often fragmented. There is no evidence of complex sentence structures, and the persistent errors in basic grammar and punctuation significantly hinder communication. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction before attempting more complex structures.
