Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. There is lot of people in this world who are brought up in poor condition from their childhood. They thinks that they are not lucky enough to get good life from their little age. They are not trying properly in any kind of tasks. If they fail once in any task they are mostly not trying again for the same. They believe that it is their bad fortune and they can't overcome it. So they are doing those unsatisfactory jobs which they are not liked at all. They wanted to do something different in their life but once failed or not tried at least once on their dream jobs and currently doing these uncomfortable jobs from which they are not satisfied. By doing all these types of jobs, they are making very less money which is also very bad result for them. For this, they are not able to come out of their poor condition in their entire life.
On the other hand, there is some other persons who argues that it is better to try and improve from such bad situations. These type of people are also faced very poor condition from their childhood but they are not lost in life. They thinks that they can improve their own life by trying not once but as long they are not tired enough to stop. They always fight for their dream jobs and good salary. Eventually, when they are trying multiple times via different routes they are able to crack their dream jobs and getting good salary package to upgrade their lifestyle from poor condition.
In my opinion, this 2nd type of people who thinks they can improve their by themselves are the correct thinkers. These type of persons will eventually win in their life and makes good amount of money for their future generation.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the discussion on why people accept bad situations focuses heavily on a lack of effort rather than exploring broader psychological or socio-economic factors. Similarly, the argument for improving one's situation is quite simplistic, relying on general statements about 'trying multiple times.' To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or nuanced reasoning to support your claims, rather than repeating the same points about 'poor conditions' and 'dream jobs' throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive. Phrases like 'For this,' 'These type of people,' and 'Eventually' are used frequently, which makes the flow feel somewhat stilted. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear; for example, the transition between the first and second paragraphs could be smoother. While there is a logical progression from the first view to the second and then to your opinion, the connections between sentences within paragraphs need more variety to improve the overall flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic, repetitive phrasing such as 'poor condition,' 'bad situation,' and 'good salary.' There are also some noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'they are not lost in life' (instead of 'they do not lose hope') and 'crack their dream jobs.' To improve, you should aim to use more sophisticated synonyms and collocations that are appropriate for an academic context, rather than repeating the same simple descriptors throughout the text.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('There is lot of people,' 'They thinks'), article misuse, and tense inconsistencies. For example, 'they are not liked at all' should be 'they do not like at all.' While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and ensuring consistent verb tenses throughout your writing.
