Student answer (Band 6.0)

Some individuals consider that accepting a bad situation , such as shortage of funds or unusual, unsatisfactory employment is best, while a group of some citizens also argue that trying to improve such unusual situations are the best way for positive outcomes. In this essay I will discuss both views and give opinion in the end. Accepting a bad situation sometime proves beneficial because it gives you opportunity and time to experience the life. While accepting employment offer that you don,t like is very frustrating, however it may helps you to stand on your feets and helps you to gain experience in work, which may proves beneficial.

In addition patience, hardwork, slow progress can yield better results if an individual sticks to the aim, for instance temporary shortage of funds or money opens very tricky hurdles for us especially in emergency situations like healthcare, pursuing higher educations, but accepting these situations sometimes open a gateway to explore and learn the deep inside of success, it keeps you humble and then you know that who are you and from what background you come.

On other hand people also set up heaps of arguments in the favour that improvements are essential in these unusual conditions, Firstly they argue that if a person finds unsatisfactory job offer where he don't want to work, he will not yield better results, he cannot stick to his work and cannot bring productivity. In addition his unwanted proceedings in this way he only ruins his own career and definitely employers future also.

And top of that he will become mentally exhausted in this way, thus trying to improve and positive efforts will overcome these problems and situations, and definitely this will bring more positivity.

In conclusion I will say that while accepting unusual conditions like unwanted job may prove beneficial, but long term a person cannot grow his career.Rather improvements and alternative ways are necessary to compensate these problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The arguments regarding 'accepting a bad situation' are a bit vague, relying on general statements about 'life experience' rather than concrete examples. The second viewpoint is better supported with arguments about productivity and mental health. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph contains a clear topic sentence and a more detailed explanation of the logic behind the points. The position is consistent, but the depth of analysis could be increased to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'And top of that' and 'On other hand'. Some transitions between sentences are abrupt, making the flow feel disjointed at times. While the progression of ideas is generally logical, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the relationship between sentences could be strengthened by using a wider variety of linking words and better punctuation to separate distinct thoughts.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. There is a reliance on basic phrasing, such as 'bad situation' and 'unusual', which are repeated. Some collocations are unnatural, such as 'unusual, unsatisfactory employment' or 'ruins his own career and definitely employers future'. While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and there is little evidence of less common lexical items or idiomatic expressions that would demonstrate a more sophisticated command of the language.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('trying to improve... are the best way', 'it may helps you'), missing articles, and incorrect punctuation around commas and apostrophes ('don,t', 'feets'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly with verb forms and pluralisation, and aim to vary sentence structure with more precision.
