Student answer (Band 5.0)

There are different opinion seen among the individuals with multiple aspects, some believe they should accept when they face crisis, while other think to overcome the situations. In my opinion, it is better to take steps wisely and improvise such situations.

Those peoples who believes accepting a bad situation will be a better condition, in terms of financial or dissatisfaction at the job. Peoples living in a rural area have struggle in finding a good job to support their families in daily needs and to overcome they end up accepting job, which is not according to there needs. In addition, such immediate decision lead to financial shortage throughout . Individuals should discuss with their families and overcome the bad situations.

While some individuals argue to try their best and overcome such challenges in their life. For instant, an individual living in a urban area will share their problems with family member or peer group for a better outcome. They try to find solution and obtain good advice from their experienced colleagues, such habit will help them to overcome not only mental stress but also will improve their overcome skill leading to a path for better achievement for the future. However, I believe this view can be challenging for other who do not have trust themselves in bad situation.

In conclusion, while other believe accept a bad condition will be a better way will be a best response. I believe, sharing with other and proving fear wrong is a better opinion. It offers a strong motivation for a people with subsiding and accepting bad situation nature to overcome the challenges.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—accepting a bad situation versus trying to improve it—and provides a clear, albeit somewhat repetitive, personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as discussing financial shortages and rural versus urban contexts, but they are underdeveloped and occasionally lack clarity due to awkward phrasing. For instance, the discussion on rural areas and job acceptance touches upon the prompt, but the reasoning is disjointed. While a clear position is maintained throughout the essay, the arguments would benefit from greater depth, sharper examples, and more thorough extension to fully satisfy higher band criteria.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay displays a basic overall structure with clear paragraphing, including an introduction, body paragraphs addressing each view and the writer's opinion, and a conclusion. However, logical progression is frequently hindered by awkward transitions and confusing sentence connections. For example, sentences like 'Those peoples who believes accepting a bad situation will be a better condition' disrupt the flow and logical sequence of ideas. Cohesive devices are sometimes inaccurate or overused, and referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the pronoun 'they' referring ambiguously to different groups. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion requires better management.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student uses an adequate vocabulary range for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'unsatisfactory job', 'financial shortage', and 'mental stress'. However, there are numerous word choice and collocation errors that impact precision and fluency, such as 'improvise such situations' (instead of 'improve' or 'remedy'), 'overcome skill' (instead of 'coping skills'), and 'proving fear wrong'. Spelling and morphological errors are also noticeable, including 'peoples' instead of 'people' and 'there needs' instead of 'their needs'. While communication is generally maintained, the lexical limitations constrain the response to a lower-intermediate level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar is weak. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Those peoples who believes'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing that creates non-standard structures. Complex sentences are often faulty, leading to confusion for the reader, such as in the concluding sentence: 'It offers a strong motivation for a people with subsiding and accepting bad situation nature to overcome the challenges.' Punctuation is basic, and while some simple sentences are correct, the high frequency of grammatical inaccuracies pulls the score down into the lower band.
