Student answer (Band 5.5)

Now a days, few people are happy to adjust and accept a not so good situations like an unsatisfactory job or shortage of finances, while on the other hand some strongly feels that try to change and improve such situations. I will discuss abouth both views and try to give an opinion on this in the following paragraphs.

On the one hand, some human beings believes it is better to have an employment rather than living with no income at the end. They think it is far important to live with low income in comparisson of nothing. For example, according to the survey taken by University in Australia, it says around 60% of the workers are not doing the jobs they always tried to and ultimately 55% of them does not feel anything as they are doing this just to support their family expences and their own. They are happy as far as they have some to do and earn in this competative and recession facing country.

On the other hand, there are huge amount of population who prefers to always give a try and achieve their dream job and to improve there economic health. They often say that its never too late to learn and get their preferred employment. It is more easy to stay focused on your work if you love your job, Because you enjoy earning. For refference, according to one news paper study, people doing there own preffered job are more happy and healthy as they are enjoying it, they are not under pressured. They like to spend more and more when they earn this amount easily.

Concluding this, as we gone through both of the views, I personally feels it is good when you try your knowledge and luck to get your dream job. Because, it feels great when you love your work and always try improve your goals.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both views required by the prompt and presents a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. For example, the writer outlines the view of accepting difficult situations to secure an income and the opposing view of pursuing a dream job. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited and relies on vague or unsupported generalisations, such as referencing an unspecified 'survey taken by University in Australia' and 'one news paper study' with generic percentages. These arguments are slightly under-developed, aligning the response with Band 6. The position is clear throughout, but the depth of explanation prevents a higher score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is logically organised into four paragraphs: an introduction, two body paragraphs discussing each view, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used to signal transitions, such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand'. However, referencing and cohesion can be repetitive or awkward, as seen in phrases like 'Concluding this, as we gone through both of the views'. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate ideas, but mechanical transitions and occasional imprecise referencing place this response firmly in Band 6.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the student to communicate their ideas about jobs and financial stability. However, there are numerous word choice, spelling, and collocation errors throughout the text. Examples include 'Now a days' instead of 'Nowadays', 'abouth' instead of 'about', 'in comparisson' instead of 'in comparison', 'competative' instead of 'competitive', 'expences' instead of 'expenses', 'there' instead of 'their', and 'refference' instead of 'reference'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they restrict the lexical score to Band 5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'They think it is far important to live with low income in comparisson of nothing.' However, the text contains frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues like 'some human beings believes', tense inconsistencies like 'as we gone through', and awkward phrasing such as 'some strongly feels that try to change'. Punctuation is also faulty in places, such as unnecessary comma splices and capitalization errors. These frequent errors cause occasional difficulty for the reader, fitting the Band 5 descriptors.
