Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this running era money is the most imporatnt and powerful thing, as with no money you couldnot live peaceful life, however several individuals are in the notion that it is good to accept this kind of situation, while others argue that one must try hard and overcome the circumstances. At a glance, improving the bad scenario is the best way to succeed in life, more discussion is eleborated further.

To commence with, in everyone's life God sends a hard time for the betterment of the future, as if we see it in a positive way it is not bad time Jesus is taking our test that how, which and what manner are we handling this situation. We have to work very hard in this period stay calm and focus on the work as, if we are leaving the bad situation and running away than in future we would not be able to become a successful person. For instance, if an employee is not happy with is current job or a businessman is not making profit in his company he or she have to keep patience and continue with the work one day his or her time would definately change and will become a successfull person.

On the contrary, having passion for something and working very hard on it without seeing time, will definately make your future shine bright. It is not ok to live a poor life

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to address the prompt by discussing whether to accept a bad situation or try to improve it, but it suffers from a significant limitation in task completion. Firstly, the length requirement is not met, as the response contains only 238 words, falling short of the 250-word minimum. Furthermore, the essay trails off abruptly in the final paragraph, leaving the conclusion incomplete and the second view insufficiently discussed. While the writer briefly mentions both accepting a bad situation and working hard to improve it, the ideas are underdeveloped and the position remains somewhat unclear due to the abrupt ending. Consequently, the task achievement is constrained by incomplete development and underlength.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay displays some basic organization, including an introductory paragraph and subsequent body paragraphs. However, overall progression is disrupted by mechanical and faulty cohesive devices, such as 'At a glance, improving the bad scenario is the best way to succeed in life, more discussion is eleborated further.' Paragraphing is poorly executed, with the final body paragraph remaining unfinished and extremely short. Referencing and linking are frequently awkward, meaning logical relationships between ideas are not always clear to the reader, pulling the score into the lower range.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with frequent spelling and word-choice errors that occasionally impede understanding. Examples include spelling inaccuracies like 'imporatnt', 'couldnot', 'eleborated', and 'successfull'. The student attempts some less common phrases, but collocation and phrasing are often unnatural, such as 'running era' and 'Jesus is taking our test'. The lexical range is minimally adequate for addressing the topic, but the density of errors places it firmly within the lower-middle bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but attempts at complex structures are frequently marred by poor punctuation and grammatical errors, such as run-on sentences ('We have to work very hard in this period stay calm and focus on the work as, if we are leaving the bad situation and running away than in future we would not be able to become a successful person'). Subject-verb agreement and tense consistency also show persistent flaws, such as 'he or she have to keep patience'. While meaning is usually retrievable, frequent errors cause difficulty for the reader.
