IELTS Writing Task 2 question
Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations.
Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
There is a considerable debate about that job satisfaction is essential or not. Some people argue that it is better to accept a wrose workplace, such as an unsatisfactory job or low wages. While others believe that it is better to switch and improve these circumstances. With my perspective, mental health and financial stability are vital, so its better to try and alleviate such situations.
On the one hand, those individuals believe that it is best to accept bad situation have some reasons such as financial survival, job scarcity and economic stability. In this era of high unemployment and inflation, it wil be difficult to find suitable and high salaries jobs in the market. If salaries are low, but it help out to fulfill basic needs such as pay rent, buy food and clothes.
On the other hand, there are several justifications to prefer satisfactory jobs and best environment workplace. Firstly, satisfied job encourages employee to work in better way and produce best results, it improves company progress as well as chances of promotion of the profressional. Another significant key point is that by shoratge of money, workers cannot improve their lifestyle and it could damage their mental health. For instance, low income employee could neither give his children better education, or buy car for the convinence of his family.
To sum up, to accept bad situation has some reasons but I believe better workplace and enough salaries are more necessary. Companies should make their workplace environment with all facilities and give wages, chances of promotion and enough salaries for employees to live smoothly.
