Student answer (Band 5.0)

Some people think that people should accept difficult circumstances, such as an unfulfilling job or financial problems, while others believe that it is better to take action to improve these situations.

In my opinion its our moral right to improve these situations rather, than just trying to blame someone. people had to accept there past and the situtation where they are going throw. It could make change to there life in the future. When you do not like the job you are doing you have only one solution and that is to change it. There are many kinds of problems which people face like shortage of money, Not having specific job, And many other kind of things like that.

The people who believe that it is best to accpet a bad situtation, Most of the people believe that if we are facing bad situtation Of Course we have to accept it. Its not about shortage of money or having not satisfactory job. We have to make it happen to change our mind to go throw all the situations.Furthermore, Everybody wants his/her favourite jobs and salary to make it happen they have to do hard work.

Morever, people who believe that it is better to try and improve the situation rather, than regrading or blaming on their own. Most of the people believe that some situation match there work, While othere says it is better to improve their life-style. Making everything to the right direction is people believe on there on hard work.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on whether to accept or improve difficult situations and provides a personal opinion in the introduction. However, the ideas are relatively undeveloped and lack sufficient extension. For example, the student mentions that 'when you do not like the job you are doing you have only one solution and that is to change it,' but does not expand on the implications of this approach. The arguments tend to be repetitive and lack detailed supporting examples. The position is somewhat blurred by imprecise phrasing, but a stance is discernible. This performance aligns with Band 5, as the task is addressed, but the ideas remain limited and under-developed, with some lack of clarity in the argumentation.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the overall organization and logical progression are weak. While transitional markers like 'Furthermore' and 'Morever' are attempted, they are often misused or mechanically applied, failing to create a smooth flow between ideas. Referencing is frequently unclear; for instance, phrases like 'Making everything to the right direction is people believe on there on hard work' create confusion regarding the relationships between sentences and ideas. There is a lack of clear overall progression, and the transitions between paragraphs feel abrupt and disjointed. Overall, the structural framework is inadequate, corresponding to a Band 5 descriptor where organization is present but lacks clear progression and coherent cohesion.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and collocation that occasionally hinder comprehension. Examples include 'regrading' instead of 'regretting', 'situtation' (spelling error), and 'othere' for others. The range is limited to everyday topics like 'job', 'money', and 'situation', and attempts at less common vocabulary often result in inaccuracies, such as 'moral right to improve these situations rather, than just trying to blame someone'. These limitations restrict the score to Band 5, as the lexical range is minimally adequate for the task but features frequent noticeable errors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The student displays a very limited range of sentence structures, relying primarily on simple sentences and basic coordination. Attempts at complex sentences frequently result in faulty structures and major grammatical errors, such as 'people had to accept there past and the situtation where they are going throw'. Punctuation and capitalization are frequently erratic, as seen in mid-sentence capitalization ('When you do not like...') and missing punctuation boundaries. Grammatical errors are frequent throughout the text, including tense consistency issues, subject-verb agreement errors, and incorrect prepositions ('blaming on their own'). These persistent errors impede communication at times, firmly placing the grammar at a Band 4 or Band 5 level; a Band 5 is awarded because simple sentences are constructed with occasional success, despite frequent errors in complex attempts.
