Student answer (Band 5.5)

Many individuals argue that it is better to adopt a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory work or shortage of capital while others believe that it is best to try and enhance such situations. In my opinion, we should try to solve the issues and attempt to improving bad phase of our life.

On the one hand, In the contemporary world a numerious amount of people are satisfied with their personal life. Everyone is on the race of becoming wealthly and success in short period of time. Noone have patience to fulfill their task everyone trying to rush on their work . As a result of rusing they face lot of problems on their life they never satisfied with their own job as well as may they suffer with financial crisis. For instance, approximately 75 % or above employees are not fully satisfied with their occupation and millions of residence from all over the world suffering with poverty, in that case the best solution for them is accepting the truth and live their life how they did.

On the other hand, Watching only problems is not a better solution. Nowadays we can see, eventhough people have abilities to solve their problem, they do not perfer to take risk and solve issues from their life. Human becoming more lazy and unproductive day by day. They are ready to accept problems but never try to solve them. For example, A person with good skill of running never try to take participate on running competion and also argue with himself that i never won any medals or prizes on my entire life. Overall, the moral of the story of this boy is that he never attempt to take risk and win prizes instead he also complain himself. For achieve something we need to give somthing therefore, we should try to improve our bad situations rather than cyring over the problems.

In conclusion, Although the best method of escape from the is problems is accepting the bad situation, we should atleast try once for improve and eliminate worst situations from our life and spending a good life without any tension and stress.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views and presenting a personal opinion, which places it in the mid-range of task achievement. However, the development of ideas is limited and sometimes unclear. For instance, the argument in the second body paragraph suggests that around 75% of employees are unsatisfied and that poverty victims should simply accept their situation, which feels contradictory to the main stance and lacks clear logical extension. Furthermore, the position is not always maintained with consistent clarity throughout the body paragraphs. To move to a higher level, the writer needs to ensure that all arguments are fully extended with relevant, coherent explanations and that the overall stance remains focused and logically supported from start to finish.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay displays some overall organization with standard paragraph breaks and basic signposts like 'On the one hand' and 'In conclusion'. However, there is no clear overall progression throughout the text, and the logical flow is frequently disrupted by abrupt shifts in thought. Cohesive devices are sometimes inaccurate or repetitive, such as the frequent reliance on simple transitional phrases without strong underlying links. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, making it hard to follow the exact connection between sentences. To achieve a higher standard, the writer must improve the logical progression between sentences and paragraphs, ensuring that cohesive devices are used more flexibly and accurately to guide the reader smoothly through the arguments.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited in range and minimally adequate for the task. The writer makes several noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and collocation, such as 'adopt a bad situation' instead of 'accept', 'numerious amount' instead of 'numerous', 'wealthly' instead of 'wealthy', and 'cyring' instead of 'crying'. These lexical slips and spelling inaccuracies occur frequently and occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader in grasping the precise intended meaning. To progress further, the writer should expand their vocabulary range by learning accurate collocations and less common lexical items, while paying closer attention to word forms and standard spelling conventions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The text demonstrates a limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on basic sentence forms alongside attempts at complex sentences that are often faulty. There are frequent errors in verb forms, tenses, subject-verb agreement, and articles throughout the essay, such as 'Noone have patience', 'everyone trying', 'rusing', and 'eventhough people have abilities to solve their problem'. These frequent errors place a strain on the reader and can cause comprehension difficulties. To reach a higher standard, the writer needs to incorporate a wider variety of complex sentence structures while exercising much better control over basic grammar, punctuation, and agreement rules to ensure error-free writing.
