Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's contemporary society, good and bad situations play an essential role in shaping human's life. In this context, a part of the society emphasises that it is good to acknowledge a worse conditions, like unsatisfied profession or less money while others contend that it is best to do hardwork to improve those situations. While obtain unpleasant situations can improve accecptance level and mental ability, I support the view that people need to try a lot and make their situations best. This essay discusses these perspectives to substantiate my viewpoint.
On the one hand, take it harmless positions can reduces stress. First and foremost, when people able to accept a worse situation, they might deal with any situations. This suggests that as people face difficult situations and accept those times, they tackle any kind of situations. For example, if people cannot accecpt situations, they might struggle with those situations and involve in mental helath isuues. Secondly, people will enhance their mental cope-up ability when they get it bad positions. This means that as people understand and accept it situations, they will reduces stress and anxiety. Ergo, accept any kind of situation accelerate level of accecptance and mental ability.
On the other hand, hardwork and focus will change people's lifestyle. To commence with, practice hard and try a lot are built people's strength. This results that as people are doing hardwork, they might facing many difficult situations, as a result, they increase their physical strength. In addition, significant effort will convert their whole life. While people are putting their 100% efforts on their situations, they will get promotions. Therefore, hardwork will change people's life.
To recapitulate, despite the fact that accecpt a worse situations will boost mental ability, I believe putting significant effort will improve situations. Thus, I believe hardwork will change worse situations to worth positions.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—that it is better to accept a bad situation and that it is better to try and improve it—while also presenting a clear personal position. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others. For instance, the first body paragraph contains repetitive arguments regarding stress reduction and mental ability without introducing distinct supporting points, such as when the writer states 'they might deal with any situations' and subsequently repeats 'they tackle any kind of situations'. The second body paragraph outlines the benefits of hard work, touching upon personal strength and career progression through promotions, yet these explanations remain somewhat limited and generalised. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to extend and support all main arguments with deeper elaboration and more specific examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion, fulfilling the requirements for paragraphing. Ideas are generally organised into distinct logical blocks, separating the discussion of the two viewpoints. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical, and referencing is not always clear. For example, transitional phrases and cohesive devices are occasionally repetitive or awkward, such as 'To commence with' and 'This results that'. Furthermore, pronoun referencing can be vague, as seen in 'when they get it bad positions' where the exact referent is slightly obscure. To move further up, the writer should employ a wider range of cohesive devices more flexibly and ensure smoother transitions between sentences and paragraphs without relying on formulaic patterns.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, providing a minimally sufficient range to convey basic arguments about accepting or changing difficult circumstances. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary items, such as 'contemporary society', 'substantiate', and 'promotions', but these attempts are frequently accompanied by noticeable word-choice, collocation, and word-form errors that hinder precision. Examples include 'worse conditions' instead of 'worse conditions', 'unsatisfied profession' instead of 'unsatisfying profession', 'obtain unpleasant situations' instead of 'experiencing unpleasant situations', and 'accecpt a worse situations'. Spelling mistakes also occur, such as 'accecpt', 'helath', and 'isuues'. These lexical inaccuracies and limited control over word formation reflect a foundational level of lexical resource.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures such as conditional and subordinate clauses, as seen in 'While obtain unpleasant situations can improve accecptance level... I support the view that...'. However, attempts at complex sentences are frequently marred by basic grammatical errors, including issues with verb forms, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions within grammatical patterns. Examples of these errors include 'human's life' instead of 'human life', 'take it harmless positions can reduces stress' instead of 'taking harmless positions can reduce stress', 'when people able to accept' instead of 'when people are able to accept', and 'practice hard and try a lot are built people's strength'. These numerous errors in basic and complex structures persist throughout the text, keeping the grammatical accuracy at a lower level.
