Student answer (Band 6.5)
In today's globalized world, people have different views regarding the acceptation of bad situations. Some proponents argue that individuals should accept unsatisfied jobs and worst conditions such as financial crisis, while others claim that it is judicious to try to improve such situations. I am in favour of second statement. This essay will discuss both views before explaining my opinion.
On the one hand, it is widely considered that the best way to spend a happy life is to accept unsatisfied jobs and financial issues. It brings numerous significant benefits. Firstly, it keeps individuals away from unnecessary stress, provides them a life with fixed routine, and they will not have to struggle to change their situations. For instance, in Pakistan majority of individuals are doing job with whom they are not satisfied. However, they need money to support their families for that they accept to do that job. Consequently, they don't have to struggle to learn extra skills to get well reputed with high salary package.
Despite this, others claim that the best way is to work hard to minimize the struggles. It will help to be self-dependent, will to learn new skills, and will be able to fulfill the fundamental needs of their family. For instance, in Pakistan most of the hospitals are paying low salary packages to Physiotherpists. Nevertheless, Physiotherpists are attending seminars and extra classes to learn advance techniques such as cupping therapy, dry needling therapy and tapping. These skills will help them to start their own clinic which not only solve their financial issues but also help them to pursue a peritage. Consequently, he will be able to spend a well reputed life in a society.
In conclusion, although to accept bad situations prevents individuals from extra stress and struggles, to try to overcome worst situations needs some struggle but it gives better outcomes. In a consequence, when a person takes part to overcome his bad situations he will definitely be successful to earn a fame and will be able to fulfill the basic needs of his family. So, i strongly believe that individuals should try to make their life better instead of accepting hurdles.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—accepting a bad situation versus trying to improve it—and provides a clear position throughout, culminating in a definitive personal stance in the conclusion. Ideas are extended and supported, such as when discussing the Pakistan examples for both job satisfaction and physiotherapists. However, there is a tendency to overgeneralize, which is characteristic of this band level, as seen in the sweeping statements about majority behaviours in specific professions. The arguments are generally well-supported and relevant, meeting the expectations for a solid performance where all prompts are appropriately covered and developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The essay displays a clear logical organisation and progression throughout. Each paragraph has a distinct focus, moving smoothly from the introduction to the first view, the second view, and finally the conclusion. Cohesive devices are used reasonably flexibly, such as 'On the one hand', 'Despite this', and 'In conclusion', though some links like 'In a consequence' show slight awkwardness. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately to separate the distinct trains of thought, ensuring the reader can follow the writer's argument easily from beginning to end without losing track of the logical flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The writer uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'globalized world', 'judicious', and 'fundamental needs'. However, there are noticeable limitations and inaccuracies in word choice, collocation, and word formation. Examples include 'acceptation' instead of 'acceptance', 'unsatisfied jobs' instead of 'unsatisfactory jobs', 'worst conditions' instead of 'worse conditions', and 'Physio-therpists' with spelling slips. These lexical errors and awkward collocations do not heavily impede communication, but they restrict the score because the precision and control required for higher bands are not yet fully achieved.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional structures. There are several errors in grammar and punctuation, such as missing articles ('doing job' instead of 'doing a job'), prepositional misuse ('support their families for that'), and slight awkwardness in subject-verb agreement or tense consistency. However, these errors rarely impede communication and the reader can easily grasp the intended meaning. The presence of these recurrent slips alongside a mixture of structures places the grammatical control firmly within the expected parameters for this level.
