Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on how to handle difficult life situations and providing a personal opinion. However, some ideas remain under-developed or lack full extension. For instance, the discussion on why people choose to accept a bad situation relies on broad statements about patience rather than exploring concrete scenarios like job dissatisfaction. While the position is clear throughout, the arguments could benefit from deeper elaboration and more detailed supporting examples to move beyond generalized points.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion, and logical paragraphing is used throughout. Cohesive devices are employed to connect ideas, such as 'Despite the given argument' and 'To conclude', though referencing and transitions can occasionally feel mechanical or repetitive. The progression of ideas is generally easy to follow, but tighter links between sentences would enhance the overall flow and organizational clarity of the piece.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, demonstrating an attempt to incorporate less common items such as 'acquiesce', 'resilience', and 'insufficient allowance'. However, there are noticeable inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'acquiesce an unwilling situation' instead of accepting a difficult circumstance, and phrasing like 'life conditions is disgrace'. These lexical errors and awkward collocations do not impede general communication, but they highlight limitations in precision and naturalness.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The writer uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over structure. However, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, particularly involving preposition usage, subject-verb agreement, and clause construction, such as 'others I include assert' and 'hid life that seems'. While these errors rarely completely impede communication, they persist across the text and prevent the grammar from achieving a higher level of accuracy and variety.
