Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views: the first body paragraph explains why people may prefer peace and avoid risky conflict, while the next argues that people can respond to financial hardship by learning skills and seeking opportunities. Your final sentence also gives a qualified opinion that the right response depends on the circumstances. However, the position is not consistently clear: the opening says you “strongly agree” without specifying which view, and the conclusion does not explain how to decide when acceptance or action is preferable. Several points remain general, such as “times fly by” and “there is will there is way,” rather than being developed with a clear example or explanation. State your view directly and support each side with more specific reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an identifiable introduction, discussion of the two views, and a concluding sentence, so the reader can recognise its broad structure. “However” and “On the other hand” signal a change in direction, and the financial-crisis example gives the second view a relevant focus. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from avoiding aggression to failure as a challenge and then to a proverb without clear links. Some connections are inaccurate or unclear, including “On the some points” and “while other get accept the situation.” Develop one main idea at a time, use topic sentences, and make references explicit so the relationship between claims and examples is easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “financial crisis,” “unemployment,” “challenge,” and “overcome,” and you try to use idiomatic expressions such as “burn the midnight oil.” This gives you some material for discussing hardship and perseverance. However, word choice, collocation, and spelling errors are noticeable and sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to understand. Examples include “tranquail,” “unemplyement,” “argue is better than loosing,” and “overcome from bad circumstances.” Some expressions, such as “strategic situation,” do not clearly convey the intended idea. Choose simpler, accurate phrases when unsure, and check spelling and common word partnerships before using less familiar vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both short statements and longer sentences with clauses, for example, “People have to take failure as a challenge so that they can overcome any strategic situation on their own.” This shows an effort to vary sentence structure. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries can make the meaning hard to follow. For instance, “it is depends on the situation” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “People says” does not agree in number. The opening also runs several ideas together without clear punctuation. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with one clear subordinate clause; check subject–verb agreement and verb patterns during editing.
